What gives?

How do I make a topic, it get like 50+ comments, and then I go out for a haircut, come home and my topic is gone.

Nothing in the topic was bad, in fact we were all getting along and many comments proved the topic was liked.

I got replies like “I like this post, can I follow your post, more of this please” and “this reminds me of the old forms, so nice” then it’s all deleted.

My only guess is the 10,000 post Mage Troll who started coming after the Rogue I made the topic about. If the Mage’s actions truly got my topic deleted, that is screwed up.

What is the point of making topic if hours of typing and conversation is going to randomly be deleted without so much as a message from Blizzard.

I have such a sour taste in my mouth right now, deleting my topic is disgusting.

Edit: We will see, this could be my last post on these forms after a stunt like this.

Edit 2: Talking to my partner, she makes a point . . She said the Mage may have typed something that got the topic deleted. That moderators or admins will delete a topic on forums if they see it start to be a gathering place for hate speech. I mean, the Mage was going at it like a pro, so I could see that happening.

I guess I’m just writing this to digest it. Feels bad man.

Because mob rules here. If enough people report your thread it will get auto deleted.

Sometimes it even bans you. A long time ago I posted an unpopular opinion here in a completely calm and collected way, and it got bombed with reports of “death threats” to the point where the system banned me from the forums for a week. When I opened a ticket I just got the usual copypasted response of “we’ve confirmed the ban will be upheld” or what have you. Even when I asked them to clarify which part of my post was making a death threat.

If they disagree then they report you on multiple accounts or ask their friends on discord to abuse the report feature

Blizzard does nothing about this though so the best way to tell someone you disagree with them is by flagging their post.

It’s how they want these forums to work

It was a very entertaining thread wishmaster. There were about 50 posts when I looked - and it hadnt then gone off the rails.

Thank you for the insight you two. That is pretty wild!

Edit: Just 3 comments and I’m chill now. Thanks you three gems <3

It’s because this place is moderated by reddit jannies.

They have AI moderators now. They simply remove all threads with any negative feedback.

Welcome to the AI generation.

After the layoffs it’s clear there are no real people involved. It’s just AI moderating now. That’s why it’s more effective and less random.

Nobody said this.

nobody cares.

Thats not at all how that works.

Calling out other players is typically frowned upon is why. Granted, the context of the thread was particularly light-hearted and the other player(s) involved with the whole situation were also there just enjoying the fun.

I am sure somehow this thread will get deleted too since it talks about moderation.

Yes they did, you were not there, aka no one invited you because of your attitude.

The word care comes from Old English carian, cearian meaning “be solicitous”. Being Solicitous is characterized by or showing interest or concern.

You show interest and you read my topic, my post, and you desired to comment to me.

You care <3

Someone types something they should not and things get deleted. Yeah, that’s kinda how that works. If you know the actual way it works, we would love an explanation.

Because it was a story about you posting on your alts. Granted, I liked the story, it has plot, setting, a climax, and twists, but it violates the CoC nonetheless.

I sorry I don’t get it. I was telling an event that happened minutes before in game. I was telling the event on the character I was playing on, Wishmaster. I’m confused where alts come into this, unless you are referring to someone else’s actions besides me, the OP.

Sorry, didn’t mean to pierce the fourth wall, or whatever. Carry on.

Now I’m extra confused. I’m truly trying to figure out why they deleted my post and you sound like you have insight. Maybe my mind is not working well right now or something. So could you please explain it to me in plain English like if I were a child?

Edit: Wait, cause RP?

This is indeed what I get paid to do.

100% nobody said “can I follow this post” lol

It just simply didn’t happen

If I recall correctly, an Undead male posted:
“Is there any way to follow your posts or what you post?
I like this post
I like it a lot”

Someone else who saw the comment can vouch, but I have to say.

You seem to want argument for Dopamine so you have feelings of pleasure, satisfaction and motivation. However, arguing or creating negative moments is not the only way to get Dopamine.

In fact, Dopamine also plays a role in controlling memory, mood, sleep, learning, concentration, movement and other body functions. You could be having an issue with one of those, because of the way you choose to get your Dopamine.

For example: Compliment someone and make them happy. They will feel a reciprocal altruism and do something to make you feel happy in return. Then you will have Dopamine without the constipation.

Gl friend

Simply did.

There are people who are just better humans than you out there.
