Almost every video in WoW used rock/metal at first, but then it started switching over to electronic. The last BlizzCon had the first non-rock artist to headline the concert.
So my question is this: what music genre do you, a WoW player, listen to? Is it the same as you’ve always enjoyed or something different?

Started many a year ago with Nu-metal, and moved on to other stuff.
These days I find myself listening to less Death metal and go more for Black metal, but also a lot of metal with clean vocals (Amorphis, Wilderun, Ne Obliviscaris). I’m old now and don’t have the energy to have my brain pummelled for 40 minutes straight.
Still loving the Power Metal though. Sabaton are just brilliant.
I listen to everything except rap and country.
When particular moods strike me I’ll bounce around most genres but I usually stick to either classic metal (eg. Iron Maiden) or Pink Floyd.
Metal. Also electronic.
Rock, metal and some classical.
I also fancy shanties, electronica and God forsaken mashups when the mood strikes.
I stopped listening to Cannibal Corpse because of Blizzcon.
Symphonic Metal is my go to, with my all time favourite band being Nightwish. I’ve seen em live three times, and if they ever come back to my province, I’ll see em a fourth time. 
I also listen to far more video game and anime soundtracks than is prolly considered healthy.

Power metal all the way. Hammerfall, Powerwolf, Iron Maiden, Dio, I think Sabaton falls into that category too.
oh also really enjoy Amon Amarth when I feel like something a bit on the growlier side.
I listen to epic music the most. And no, I don’t mean epic as in, “cool!”. It’s an actual genre, also known as “trailer music”.

We pretty much all just listen to this on repeat
just about everything, though i tend to avoid country most of the time. 'less i’m in a mood.

there was some J. Coulton and Del the funky homosapien in there at some point too, but i don’t see them on the played list. i do see “a wild guitar solo appears” though.
