What? Flying!

Straight to Master Flying instead. About time.

I like the change, but I’m going to be “that guy”.

Should’ve just removed regular flying, then kept +280 and +310 as the options.

That 4k gold is pretty much pocket change but it is a welcome change.

+280% and +410% sounds better to me

The majority of my toons are currently at +280% and haven’t unlocked +310% flying. Crossing my fingers that they just get auto upgraded to 310 in Shadowlands. :crossed_fingers:

yet no word on pathfinder which means theyre purposely keeping it underwraps until the final couple of months in order to ensure theres no chance for players to speak up enough to make them hear it

Hi i’m here to cast my support to Pathfinder. I like the idea of not having flying but as a respectable and honorable horde player. I believe we can both agree Flying should be unlocked in 8.1 with pathfinder instead of 8.2. That way we can both win and be happy

Not a bad change imho. Now they just need to let us know if they are keeping the pathfinder requirement for old xpacs or not. The fact they are making new players do BfA first would suggest they won’t, because setting the levels you get flying as they are but not letting new players actually fly wouldn’t make sense. But it would be nice if we got an official confirmation on it.

My biggest gripe about this change is no word on how WoD, Legion, or BfA Pathfinder are going to work. I am not a fan on waiting till level 30 to be able to fly in a pathfinder zone since I thought one benefit to earning it was being able to fully fly in those zones as you level. I’ll be more ok with it if Blizzard nerfs/removes legacy pathfinder, but I don’t see that happening.

At Blizzard entertainment we value the communities opinion. And on Pathfinder one of the most controversial things to be added to the game we decided to use in-game statistics. We have seen that a ton of players have completed pathfinder and this must because they love Pathfinder and not because they just want to fly. So because of this we have decided that this expansion Pathfinder will have four parts! Thank you.

They already spoke out about Pathfinder and said not to expect any changes from the design of the past few expansions.

So that confirms it will be there still, question is will they modify it to only require story or if it woll still include and absurb rep grind through WQs.

oh you know Blizz will find the best way to make sure it slowly twist the knife in our collective sides to prolong the pain in order to make their shareholders happy even if it means risking losing players

Honestly there’s a few modifications they can make to it. My favorite would be to allow people to purchase flight at max level and give them the option to earn BoA flight via pathfinder.

Now it just needs a price drop. 50 gold, 250 gold, 1000 gold sounds like a fair increment.

I’ve actually said a few times I wouldn’t mind this. I still think that’d be fine, really. A little gating, whatever, I’ll tolerate it, I get the point. But 8.1 is long enough.

only thing im salty about is i literally bought it on my new toon yesterday. would of literally saved me 4k. to some thats pocket change to me thats a lot of money especially from someone who doesn’t really farm for gold anymore. in the past i did but now i just vendor stuff to get by for raiding

Yeah, my favorite choices are flying at max level with BoA on pathfinder along with the “expansion mount”.

Or if they are insistent in gatekeeping it until you have done the content, then just make the requirement completion of the story as opposed to the stupid rep requirement and multiple patch duration.
