Since TWW is sold as the “first part in a saga” you would think it’s purpose is to set up the rest. However it didn’t really start anything. The only thing of note to come out of TWW was Xal acquiring the power of Dimensius, so that would make the war with Ansurek and the Goblin revolution filler.
You could say the Titan archive weeklies set up more stuff for The Last Titan, however that was optional content that is more than likely going to be gone by the time of Midnight.
Light vs. Void Reni’lash, K’aresh restored, whatever is going on with Beledar and the other crystals (friendly reminder that they can emit radiant songs like Worldsouls), Arathi Empire, Xal’atath, Titan villain arc, Old God amalgamation unresolved, and Red Dawn.

Well, a few things.
We learned more about the World Soul itself, and the threat poised at it.
We learned about things that will come up later (presumably) like the Black Blood, the Haronir, the Arathi, and the Titans being not entirely honest.
There’s Beledar, assuming it becomes relevant again, and presumably other crystals like it, which is a thing that was mentioned.
We learned that a dying world soul can be saved by the sacrifice of a mortal soul, and that is absolutely going to play into the finale.
And, well, all the titan stuff in general, which will play into Tle Last Titan, which is the finale of the World Soul Saga and therefore relevant.
So it did set up quite a lot, I think.

Quite frankly it feels to me like the part 1 story was simply dropped and left unfinished.
This is when Anduin finally cracks open like an egg?

I think the biggest thing is learning that the World Soul is not a titan and the titans were trying to force it to be one.
The Xal’atath plot kind of went in a complete circle with her MacGuffin.
My actual, serious guess is Thrall but Anduin is a very good second place runner-up.
My cynical guess is Sylvanas, in the ultimate form of misplaced atonement.
My chaos gremlin guess is Xal’atath after Aman’thul throws some blue soul fragment at her, making her realize her real goal was to save a planet from the fate her own faced and so she makes the ultimate sacrifice.
My really big-time ultimate chaos gremlin choice is the player character.

I only have a Void Chaos guess.

I haven’t done any of TWW’s main campaign, and honestly I feel fine jumping from Patch 10.2.7 to Patch 12.0 without even feeling like there’s any gap in the narrative.
My post is objectively the correct answer to this thread btw.
You do realize that Xal’atath is using Dimensius’ power that she got in TWW to invade Quel’Thalas, right?
I suspect considering Xal’atath climbed out of the Mural of Beledar that she is the Harranir Goddess inside Beledar(the Orweyna goes to Hallowfall and focuses on Beledar when communing with the Goddess) named Shul’ka.
Life is the enemy this time and using the Void as a Tool and will use Light as a Tool in Midnight for as N’Zoth stated in the Uu’nat Boss Fight: “The Light has struck a bargain with the enemy of all.”
The Lightmother and the Arathi Emperor will be our opponents in Midnight.
Considering the Dagger that Xal’atath was sealed in bore an Eye I suspect N’Zoth hitched a ride on said Eye and thus when the Dagger blew up N’Zoth went straight to Shul’ka’s Eye Socket thus he will be the Undreamt God that we fight in the Harranir Raid named The Dreamrift.
The Saga will be our hunt for Xal’atath/Shul’ka as she attempts to claim the World Soul for Life’s ambitions.
Zereth Vitae will be Beledar and the Final Patch Zone of The Last Titan I suspect after she steals the World Soul from Worldcore the First Major Patch Zone of The Last Titan.
