Seems to be wow players in general. People who play this game seem to enjoy being overpowered so they pick on the small fry.
I have a few characters I’ve logged when being ganked. Slowly but surely they all gain exp
I refuse to do boosting. I would rather die 100x doing solo quests I shouldn’t be able to do.
It happens to everyone at some time or another. Just shrug it off, move to a new zone and move on with life.
No sense feeding the trolls, it only makes them come back for more.

It sounds like someone was trying to get you to flag for PVP (if you weren’t).
Lowbie ganking is pretty common if that’s what it was. It doesn’t matter if you were nice or not worth anything.
I promise you I rolled rogue just so I could escape pvp and harvest nodes in peace 
My troll, in character, HATES humans for this reason. He is friendly by default with all other races but kills humans on sight because he has noticed this about them too.
Sounds like you should have rolled on a pve server instead…
Turn on “interact on left click” and problem solved.
This sounds like you are on a PVE server where alliance has flagged themselves and has become a griefer waiting for interaction standing on top of your mob. If so then this is reportable because it’s a PVE server with a whole different set of rules.
If it was a PVP server it would be different because anything goes honestly as long as you aren’t safe spotting in a Town which then becomes a reportable offense

But seriously, both sides do it nonstop. We're both awful, there's no difference except we get awesome IF.Is that really a punishable offense? Who is to say that person wasn’t just running by the same moment OP accidentally clicked them? How exactly do we prove malicious intent here?

I’m on pvp, is camping lowbies bannable?
Horde are like unicorns on the server I play on.
If I see them fighting mobs, I help them.
It’s not just alliance that does it, horde do it as well.
It normally someone with little to no control in their own life, they want to so desperately control something or someone so they take it out on the little guys in wow.
They where bullied in school growing up and again during life, its their way of taking control of something finally. It brings them joy and satisfaction to be able to kill someone in game when they normally struggle to be able to kill the current level monsters they are fighting.
So they go and find low unsuspecting people flag up and stand on the corps of the monster that player killed causing them to attack and flag up, giving them the opportunity to finally be the bully in life.
It’s just a mental issue on their end, I myself when it happens just ignore them and go on about my day, if they continue to stalk me then I call in backup to come corpse camp them for a bit.
