What does the scouting map do?

Just that. I’m ome the DF starting zone. I click the map and pick a zone.

Now what?

What does it do? If I simply fly to the zone I was interested, why is the scouting map even there?

It gives you the intro quest for that zone to start that campaign.

It tells you “Hey, you don’t have to do the zones in order now, go wherever you want.”

Thank you. It wasn’t very obvious to me.

It’s basically just an easy way for people to find where the campaign for that zone starts, so they aren’t flying around aimlessly.

Whelp. It didn’t work for me, because that’s exactly what I was doing…

Did you pick up the quest from the Scouting Map?
If so, you may have to track the quest or focus it. The objectives tracker has a right click function for each quest now to do different things. If you focus the quest, the yellow arrow on your mini map will show you where to go.
