I guess it’s more purple. It’s a new icon from this patch next to certain quests.

at first I thought it was for the optional breadcrumb type crests, where they point you to somewhere important, but you don’t technically need the quest once you are there. But that annoying whelp would have had one too, instead of the regular yellow quest ! he has.

Also, Blizz, WHY CAN’T WE have that dang thing stop following us without having to use up a quest slot in the process? Don’t care about daycare. Make him go away.

I understood them as class specific quests, since the only purple quest icon I’ve seen was for the Warlock pet customization questline.

Not class unique. I have an alt priest who apparently hadn’t done the Catalyst 's Boon yet, that showed as a purple triangle.

My guess is ‘Important, one time, but not main quest’.
