It says it inspects the target and teaches them how to be helpful but like what does that do
I tried it on some random âboss-ishâ mob (one of those 500K health elites), and it didnât do anything. It didnât even say âSorry, canât help you.â
Just, as far as I can tell, ânothing happenedâ.
âAnd only a 1 day cooldown! Such a deal!â
Iâm guessing this is something for the âsecretâ hunters. Theyâre madly trying it on every raid boss, dungeon mob, and critter in the wild for it to chime in with something.
âIf you stand on your left foot while skinning this beast, a NEW MOUNT(!!11!!) drops!â
Apparently it modifies what spells the dragon casts.
If youâre targeting an enemy, it will cast DPS spells.
If youâre targeting an ally it will cast a healing spell.
If youâre targeting yourself it will cast another ability
Basically it âtrainsâ the summoned whelpling to be more helpful. For me once I day Iâd use it while I was fighting and by the time it was fully âtrainedâ itâs damage spell was doing a lot more damage when it was summoned.
itâll be funny if itâs something profoundly simplistic like plaguefall solo mount that they went insane trying to figure out then some chad that likes soloing dungeons tells them they were doing it wrong.
It just sets the passive effect of the trinket based off what you target, itâs not somthing you actively use all the time in combat
I tried it for about five days, got something better from another quest, replaced it and moved on. Donât worry about it. Itâs a throwaway item.
Same case here.
If you use it while DPSing, it will do damage for the next 24 hours when it procs. If you use it while healing, it will throw out a heal for the next 24 hours when it procs. I donât know what it does for tanking, or even if it does anything for tanking.
You use it once a day to make the whelp permanently stronger.
