I just noticed that Ferocity pets grant a 10% bonus to Leach. What does that do? What am I leaching?
leech provides healing to you based on the amount of damage you do. if you deal 1000 damage and you have 10% leech, you will restore 100 health to yourself.
it’s quite useful for SV or MM. less useful for BM as your pet does most of your damage.

And if you get then right gear you can do crazy stuff with leech and the right heal gear.
I have a purely leech and “healing set” that I use for soloing harder stuff. For example here is my healing during a Zskarn fight where I decided to put it on during raid for the lulz to see what sort of numbers it produced. Yeah its all overhealing because we have actual healers on the ball but the raw HPS output is decent at 60k HPS. This is also WITHOUT an Undulating Sporecloak as I hadnt made one yet.
When soloing Zaralek rares I can hit 50k HPS on my pet.

Curious if undead hunter can have stacked leech passive plus pet that has it too. But never show on the stats that add up on the character profile.
The Undead passive is a proc and doesn’t count as Leech, although Leech will apply to the damage it deals. Granted it’s not exactly a hard hitter so the Leech healing you’d receive from the proc would be hardly noticeable at best.
Anyway, the 10% Leech is real handy for solo world content and questing for certain, although in instances MM Hunters tend to run without a pet unless folks need a Hero/Lust.
If you runing with a Fericity pet i recommend you tame Scalehides and Gorillas. Both got a very useful shield whenever they are below 45% health that make them very tankie for hard situations. There is some cool Scalehides in Ohn’ahran Plains and you can find a very rare white Gorilla in Ungoro crater.

For PvP it would be nice if we could have the 10-15% leach and master’s call. Also, they badly need to revert mend pet nerf from df s1 which does not count mend pet as healing from the hunter.

For BM hunter, LEECH does almost nothing.
it only heals on autoshot. When i use leech gear and ferocity pet, i have 25-30% leech and a warrior dps with only 2% leech out heal my hunter. With that, leech does nothing for BM now.
Before, our leech affect pets and with spirit bond; healing pet heal ourself. Our stats also shared with pet, so pet damage also heal pet and us thru leech. Mend pet use to self-heal hunter via leech… reason why hunter is now squishy in DF
But it’s not tho in fact it’s tankier than it was in SL lol
