I would like answer to this qeustion.
Smelly, dirty and uncivilized.
Until the Blood Elves came along.
Stronger than the Alliance. I mean, who would win in a fight- a bloodthirsty Orc, or a squeaky little gnome? A muscle-bound Tauren standing 8-feet-tall, or a 4-foot-tall Dwarf? Would you rather listen to, “Good day to you, sir!” or “Daylight’s burning!”. Or, “Blood and Thunder!!” And, “What do you ask of death?” It’s not a tough decision for me.
Go read “Warcraft: Lord of the Clans”, a novel by Christie Golden.
It means i’m not Alliance
To never have a real Warchief.
You fight for your alien overlords.
Depends on who you ask.
To me, Being a member of the horde is to know what it means to walk in exile, forced to leave your home and make a new one with others who have been where you are, and to know that you will fight anyone who threatens your new family, no matter the odds.
It is rebirth. It is determination. It is adaptation.
It also means you’ve gotten past the great filter and aren’t as easily impressed by “pretty” races or pixelated taverns.
To crush your enemies
To see them driven before you
And to hear the lamentation of their women
It means that when you got to the character creation screen you clicked on the link that said, “horde.” In retail I had a server with all my horde alts and a different server with all my alliance alts. I might do the same in classic depending on how much time I have to play the game.
Horde = victory…
it always has
Kill Alliance
It means Gnomes are delicious.
Maybe this is part of the appeal to me. It kinda plays on my inner anarchist.
well as horde you start out as bloodthirsty demons blood infused maniacs, find redemption through a leader with real honor, then decide to start nuking druid children in stonetalon and eventually use biochemicals on your allies until your latest warchief tells you all you’re basically worthless peons.
that said I did love my time on horde on retail! and considering running a horde shammy alt on another server sometime because they seem fun
And as Alliance you fight for NICE and the values of GOOOD.
For 15 years.
With no real changes.
Or Nuance.
Or Depth.
But hey man: Nice
Horde are portrayed as the underdog in Classic. That’s what I like to play.
To fight tooth and nail (and tusk and horn) for every scrap of earth beneath your feet. This world has not been kind to you. It has not been given to you. Your homes or your origins have been ripped away.
So take it back with iron and flame. To look those whom took it from you in the eye with a wild grin, spit in the earth at their feet, and say “Come and have a go, if you think you’re hard enough.”
“no real changes”
tyrande goes mad, varian dies, dwarves end up with a council ruling them, gnomes take back gnomeregan, anduin grows up and accepts that fighting will happen. all niceness and goodness w/e we still had story development that didn’t involve the mindless slaughter of neutral factions because they wouldn’t submit to us (Garrosh).
