Saurfang claims to know what it is. Baine claims to know what it is. The orcs I kill in warfronts claim to die with it. And most Horde leaders claim that Sylvanas doesn’t have it. But none of them seem to be able to define it.
I hear this word over, and over, and over again during BFA’s storyline, and the best definition I can come up with is “willingly nerfing yourself in the face of victory.”
So I pose this question to you, fair arbiters of morality of GD. What does “Honor” mean to you?
Honor does NOT mean bowing down and kissing the butt of the person who is in charge. It is doing what is right, moral, ethical, and good. Not burning up a tree full of people because reasons war lolz.
According to the samurai, it was exactly the first one. A samurai’s honor was obeying his lord at all costs. (Granted, the whole thing likely came about so those lords could control samurai in a way that made them feel superior to monetarily-motivated mercenaries.)
Honor is EVERYTHING!
It is not about who you serve so much as it is HOW! Some of the Horde is beginning to realize that and are joining Saurfang’s side in the mess over there: hope he, and his, wins.
It is about being able to look your fellow armsmen in the eye…proudly!
It is the difference between ‘‘A good fight, yes!’’ and ''What have we DONE!?"
It is ALL about who you are and all that means; in the beginning of the day and at its end!
Honor appears to mean something closer to a rightness of intent and mind. When you give you life, or fight and kill for the well being of your people or community, that is honor. If you fight or kill simply for your own amusement or anger, that would be without honor. A rogue that strikes from the shadows and thereby stop an enemy that would kill his family, has honor. The same actions done just to rob you, has no honor. Burning the tree because you honestly believe your enemy will not stop until you have killed every last one of them, would still be honorable. Burning the lot just to drive you enemy into open despair is cruel, and without honor. If an orc tricks you into a bear trap to be eaten by a nearby predator because that’s his only option to defend his village, that has honor. If he does it just to see you eaten, that is without honor.
People need to ask what Honor mean? What is the school doing if they are not teaching? Might as well just have playgrounds open 24/7 with no class rooms.
I mean come on you should know what honor means.
Honor definition:
honesty, fairness, or integrity in one’s beliefs and actions: Example: A man of honor.
Well it was a currency so i can use them to buy mounts and mog items… now it’s that in the form of Marks of Honor and a level up mechanic to get pets and stuff from free assisted kills.
