On the Chinese version of the game? I know they arent allowed to show exposed bone so Im wondering if he looks any different.
This actually isn’t accurate. It’s not illegal to show exposed bone.
The censor board in China is very strict, but only against foreign-made games. There are plenty of games developed in China that have full skeletons in them.
How open minded of them. But still Does he look any different?

I don’t think so, no. I’ve done some careful googling in the past on this (and a few other in-game models), and I’ve never found any alternate models of Bwon’samdi aside from the really old one.
The Hearthstone art is the exact same for Chinese players, so it’s pretty safe to assume that Blizzard greased the right palms…I mean catered to Chinese sensibilities…And got the game approved.
Nah, probably not so much greasing palms as having well-established connections in the country. The often demonized NetEase has been their Chinese distribution partner for most of a decade now, so while in 2008-2009 it might’ve been tough for them to get past the censor board, at this point NetEase being their partner saves them the headache.
