I was cutting down some alliance in a bg and one of them keep saying it.
Its literal translation would be "lol".

Yes, if a hordie says "lol" an alliance toon will see "kek", if an alliance toon says "lol" horde will see "bur".

No, aside from a few choice words like "lol" what the other side sees is basically taken from a list of random gibberish words of similar length.
So "lol" is always "kek" but if you say "kek" back it could be any number of 3 letter "words".
When an Alliance player says bur, it means they like velcro or stuff that is sticky.
