What Do You Want To See In The Future of WoW?

Me:

  1. New Quel’Thalas and Ghostlands Revamp. The Druids down south, the longstanding peace, and the Nightborne and Sin’dorei kingdoms have long been allied. They could have, especially considering Bel’ameth and the Dragonflight insights, revivified Thas’Alah and the runestones ages ago. I have long RP’d this as a political irritation.
  2. After that, considering Bel’Ameth, and the peace, we should just fully unlock class restrictions as long as it follows this progression of lore that we -as players- could postulate. Such as, BLOOD ELF DRUIDS. I have wanted this since BC was announced, lol. Heck, let ANYONE be a druid. Give Dwarves druid and various stone-forms. Druids are cool, I like them.
  3. You need to retexture and beautify The Ashes of Al’ar into something that is HD, armored, and screeches when we summon it. I’d LOVE it if we could just get new model phoenixes on a customizable mount table to outfit in armor and color variations.
  4. I need more emotes for my characters, poses or idle stances, and I want undead elves to have darker skin tones than palest-pale white. My darkfallen would at least be more of an ashen gray-mauve. More tattoo and war-paints would be nice.
  5. If and when player housing becomes a thing, I want to basically have an option to host characters from that same camp as idle NPCs with preselected text options based on species, class, or current specification.
  6. I’d like to see certain titles, mounts, and other items recycle back through retail INCLUDING elite pvp variations, mounts, and titles (such as The Infinite). I’d work really hard for some of those things I’d missed out on because I just wasn’t that skilled, but who doesn’t like a second chance decades later?
  7. I’m a sucker for rope-swing mechanics, grappling hooks in the world and as a spell (I love this rogue) but I think class specific world interactions would be a really neat thing to add. I’d also appreciate class specific daily quests for transmog, pets, illusions, and more. It’d be nice if our Legion pals checked up on us since we’re all in this together.

What about you? I may edit this to add more later, but I’m curious what you all would love to see featured.

Honestly if we get more zones like the goblin one, that are filled with details almost everywhere you look that were clearly made by people who had some passion behind it

I’d be happy

Fewer bugs. Seriously, they’re beyond annoying at this point.

A complete UI, not this current half-baked … thing. Scalable time, calendar, spellbook, etc.

And that actually SAVES what you do, not just randomly resets.

The fact that addon makers can fix this just highlights the deficiency.

-Upright Undead
-Bring back certain removed story quests (i.e. Battle for Undercity from WotlK)

Bad idea, they’ll remove its unique flair somehow. They’d even go as far as removing the trails behind it

After seeing the Undermine, I’m not really interested in old areas revamping. Just gimme new quality and let the rest lay in the past. :slightly_smiling_face:

Why so you can demand they get legs so they can get mogs? :slightly_smiling_face:

I wouldn’t complain about slithering along in the form Azshara gave them, it’s perfect

When I played back in Wrath I loved trying to lose myself in the Grizzly Hills. There is almost nowhere in the game that feels “Wild” or “Untamed”. For the most part there is always settlements or villages. Roads and pathways. You can’t lose yourself in the wild because it appears like everything is settled.

I’d like to have a zone or entire expansion where the first “Settlers” are the players. Completely untapped wilderness. The quests would come exclusively from either a base camp, or from a capital city.

With that being said. In SWG there is the profession that lets you setup entire camp sites. I would love for the previously stated wilderness or “frontier” to come with a new profession that is just that. “Survival” you can setup a camp for yourself and your party. It would allow you to return to it, it’d provide buffs to the group. Your base camp would take the place of the random villages or towns you’d encounter. It’d have a place to repair, to offload junk, rested xp location, safe spot to stop or go AFK.

I experienced that feeling of wonder and off the beaten path a few times in WoW, but it usually was like going camping in a camp ground in the middle of the city. Because you were sometimes almost within casting distance of a quest hub or village.

Aside from that, I’d like to see more themed armors. I have been trying to put together transmogs for my characters since coming back to the game, and I see a lot of the same stuff. Bigger. Flashier. But nothing really original. It’d be cool if they release models that were a little different. They went in the right direction the bandoliers and napsacks that take the place of cloaks.

I’d like to see more of that. For instance, a hunter outfit that looks more rugged and functional. No more massive shoulder plates or pads. Napsacks and bandoliers. Quivers, and ammo pouches. Shoulder pieces that actually have more functionality to them. Pants that have pouches and pockets.

All casters could have armor sets that have scrolls and potion bottles on it. Shamans could have visible rune inscribing stuff hanging on the armor. Paladins you could see a book hanging from the chest piece.

Basically mix up the formula of larger and flashier armor with something functional. Try something new.

Not necessarily in that order.

A necromancer class or maybe as an additional lock/priest/dk spec. For dk maybe necro spec could wear cloth.
Time mage spec.
An option to play dracthyr without ever having to see that dragon model, including on evoker
Shadowlands retcon
All old mogs revamped like how they did the tier 2 sets.
More ground mounts able to fly (like the ghost horses)

New Customization:

Shared customizations between same-model races (eg; Tauren get Highmountain Tauren paint and vice versa, Orcs get Mag’har clan tattoos, Mag’har get orc warpaint)
New customizations entirely (eg; Fel Orcs for Orcs, Wretched for Blood Elves, Feltotem for Highmountain)
New visuals for the classes (eg; Battlemage visuals for Warriors if it doesn’t become a Mage spec, Maldraxxus/Revendreth for DKS)

I can go on and on and on… etc. These are just some of the most notable.

C’thun should return.

Also I’d like some updated suit transmogs.

My list is long and scary and if I ever become queen of the world, my second official act will be to implement it.

In the meantime, a few highlights:

1). Old World Azeroth (original vanilla world) accessible as:
a) an optional starting zone for any of the original races
b) thru a portal in the wizard’s tower
Would also be an option in Chromie Time

2). Hunter pet baseline for all hunter specs

3). BfA and Shadowlands turned into a nightmarescape created by N’Zoth, resetting everything back to the end of Legion at the beginning of Dragonflight, most especially Sylvanas.

4). High Elves for the Alliance (Hill :candle: die!) and Saberon (using the worgen skeleton for mog) for the Horde

5). Options for open world difficulty and gaining experience

Old World Azeroth would include:
a) all original quests (ie class quests, class mount quests, legendary questlines like Atiesh, ect)
b) the complete attunement quests as optional endgame content
c) all original dungeons in their original, less ‘streamlined’ version
d) all original raids in their original, less ‘streamlined’ version
d) all original rewards including titles, tabards (ie Argent Dawn) and mounts (ie black ram)
e) all original gear (ie Brawler’s Harness) wt original designs (ie Mordant’s Travel Tunic)
f) all orignal NPC vendors with their original wares, especially those who sold recipes/patterns/item that are presently unavailable to both or one of the faction (ie Shadow Protection Potion recipe)

No, thank you.

First of all, Blizzard is incapable of updating anything without changing it.

Second of all, I don’t want to see such a beautiful mount marred by any type of armor. (There are more than a few mounts I would like to strip the amour off of!)

Third of all, there are enough annoying sounds in the game, there is no reasons to add another one attached to a beloved mount.

Perhaps you should just design a new mount with all these add-ons and ask for that.

In 10 years we will be able to play WOW on our cellphones and the play style and abilities will outshine pc and mac users and everyone will be connecting type C usb 3D vr headsets to their phones to play WOW even better
