Give them some feedback here that you want to see and what shouldn’t return.
Seeing how these are the grim days for this game…and company. This should be the perfect opportunity to introduce some new ideas.
I don’t care what they make, just stop making things that have zero replayability. Yes, I’m talking about warfronts.
Also, player housing plz.
Remove transmog restrictions.
This! It’d be so fun to spray other people with a hose!
To be titled 2 or II
Sans undertale
Sorry mom.
Eh…I mean yes, that’s exactly what I meant.
-
Flight not obnoxiously delayed, Pathfinder 1 is fine but when it’s complete it should immediately unlock flight in the existing new zones and shouldn’t take any longer than 9.1 to unlock. Pathfinder 2 is only fine if it unlocks flight in new zones.
-
Master loot returned to re-engage the team player base and give them some agency in loot options back.
-
Tier sets back, Azerite nonesense scrapped.
-
WF capped at +5 ilvls, gem slots & tertiary stats non-random and earned through doing content and getting currency you then spend to upgrade and the +5 ilvl earnable too if you didn’t get it through RNG for free.
-
Gold making that isn’t gutted like BfA, preferably professions that actually matter.
That said I want a new void class that does Void Melee, Void Range (Bows, Guns) and Void Healing.
No new races!! We’re good.
I also want Tier Sets to return.
Also the return of our Legendary Weapons.
Player housing would be nice
Revamp of professions (new professions if housing added)
Pizza and tacos
Flying much sooner - one part only
Patch release schedule similar to Legion’s
Redo Island Expeditions making them exploration focused and with a story
No horse or gryphon mounts for Alliance (feel free to give Horde some horses)
Solo challenge similar to mage tower
New druid forms for older races
Feather color variations for moonkins
PvP vendors and the reintroduction of the resilience stat for a start
I want class design to be fun again. Tired of the balancing in this game of fun= nerf
I would like distinguishable class strengths and weaknesses. Makes it more fun to play alts
I want our legendary weapons back. They’re still in our bags or in the bank, just make them relevant again
I want next expac to NOT have any AP grind.
I want them to NOT scale rewards from WQ every single patch to keep progression through raiding tiers.
I want talents point back.
I want to build ONE toon. Not season throwable caracters
Undo the ability prune of WoD. Just because a rotation is more complicated than 3 or 4 buttons does not mean it is hard.
That’s all I really want.
The elimination of titanforging, rng gem slots, and tertiary stats. #makegeargearagain
I would not say “Eliminate TF”. I would say put it on 0.01% chance. So IF and WHEN it procs, it is REALLY something and not just another “yeah, cool”
Real Money Auction House.
I’m not cool enough to stream wow for a living so… yea give us Real Money Auction House. I wanna get paid to WoW!
They don’t take feedback from the forum. They have access to scientific tools to determine what players want and what they are willing to pay for. Neither of these seem to have been a consideration in design of BfA.
A better story, one that doesn’t require the Horde to completely ignore its own previous plot arcs. Preferably one with as little to do with factions as possible. Myself, I’d like a story that unfolds in a less predictable fashion - things like the off-patch story updates that they kept talking about throughout Legion, but didn’t really do much with in BfA (so far).
Regarding story, I also think that - in contrast to Legion or BfA - different plot threads should be brought up in parallel throughout the expansion. For instance, you have the Darkshore storyline that, as it stands, is basically one-and-done. Instead, I think it should have been told in pieces throughout the expansion alongside other developing plots. So while you have the major plot threads like the war campaign, Zandalari and Kul Tiran alliances, and so forth, at the same time you’re also moving these smaller chunks of story forward at the same time.
More unique and engaging solo content. Things like the Treasures of the Thunder King in Mists, or the Chromie scenario last expansion. For instance, what if they had a solo version of island expeditions where there wasn’t a timer and you didn’t have to chain pull everything, and you could explore the islands and find neat and unexpected Azerite interactions at your own pace? Something along those lines.
Better variety of outdoor zones. Although I like the production quality of Kul Tiras, it really boils down to “wet mountains, spooky mountains, green mountains”. Zandalar is a little better, but in general I think the diversity of environments is a little lacking throughout BfA.
Personally, I’d be in favor of more revisited old world zones (with, of course, the option to travel back to the older versions). I know not everybody is a fan of them, but I think it makes the world feel more alive when events take place right across it instead of always being stuck on the new continent of the week.
I’d like a mission system that is more in-depth and interacts more with the world. Things like troops, equipment, one-time buffs, etc. that come from world quests, or missions that give buffs or bonus rewards while you’re out in the world. Instead of building the perfect arsenal of champions, then sitting back and raking in rewards, make it something that you have to do other content to renew, as more of a cherry on top of the rewards you already get.
In terms of itemization, I’ve been really interested in what SWTOR has announced for their next expansion. Summarized in WoW terms, that would be a couple of things. First, instead of titanforging being totally random, instead it would always bring items up to around your current (or highest earned) item level - maybe a little higher, maybe a little lower, with it being more likely to roll high when you’re doing harder content. Then, when you DE or scrap items, you can use them to buy new items; basically residuum, but for all items instead of just Azerite. The final point is a little more rooted in their own itemization, but it basically boils down to: what if you could take the item level of a new piece of Azerite gear, and apply that level to an older piece with better traits?
Speaking of which, there are points I like about Azerite and ones I don’t. Since there’s been so much drama about Azerite reforging, I personally think they should just drop that aspect of the system entirely in favor of what they’re doing with Benthic gear. When a Boots of XYZ drop, it’s got one unique trait that’s shared with every other Boots of XYZ (and maybe a Bracers of ABC and a Cloak of DEF, if the trait warrants). No randomness, no reforging every time you change specs, no muss, no fuss.
I have some thoughts on phasing and sharding that are a bit esoteric but boil down to “expose everything to the player, or give the option for that, and allow us to expressly choose a phase/shard/realm”. For world PvP and other miscellaneous exploits, remove the automatic phasing-in-place and give it a cast time, like a Hearthstone. I’ll be the first to admit that would need a lot of testing to feel right, though.
Some minor stuff. There should be a more robust portal network. Honestly, there’s no reason not to let people wander around the old world freely; it doesn’t hurt anyone and sometimes people find neat things.
There should be more dragons. Dragons always class up the joint and anyway it’s been ages since they were important.
Oh, and most importantly: night elf bikinis.
fun things to do
Good news, everyone!
