What do YOU want the next expansion to be?

While it’s pretty obviously shaping up to be a void/Black Empire centric expansion, what do you personally want the next expansion to be themed around?

I’m personally fine with it being Black Empire themed, but I want it to focus on changes to existing worlds/continents instead of just appearing another continent out of nowhere and camming it full of void.

Lots of void goo and tentacles.
Ooh, and murlocs, lots and lots of murlocs, maybe even void murlocs :stuck_out_tongue:

Complete removal of the current Rep farming and WQs design

Scarlet Crusade expansion

If Blizzard doesn’t make the next expansion WotLk 2.0 (like Legion was BC 2.0) they’re pretty dense. It’s a very easy sell.
Also the “new race/class” pattern means the next expansion will have a class and Runecaster or Necromancer slots in pretty well there.

Something Blackrock themed, or back to Northrend.

I’d say Legion was a mix of TBC and Wrath. Maybe even more Wrath with Dalaran, Stormheim, Argus being like Icecrown, etc.

Something made genuinely with love.

The black empire wins and Chromie has to send is all back to Vanilla to make a new timeline as we learned from our mistakes.
Thus Wow 2 is born

Revamp of all the old zones

“Spaceballs the Video Game”

I would love to see them revamp EVERY zone to bring the entire game into one cohesive narrative. Update outland so its 20 years later there, update Northrend so its post Legion invasion. Same with Pandaria.

I would love for the entirety of the game to be completely remade and brought into a current time frame so we no longer start during the cataclysm then magically travel back in time to Outlands and Northrend before coming back to the cataclysm time line then eventually leaving that time line to go to Pandaria pre-Legion invasion.

Its a mess.

BfA is a great way to set up an expansion that completely updates the entire game and bring every zone into a post-Legion invasion/ Horde v Alliance world war.

That is what I would love to see happen.

Old Gods, Black Empire jazz. I’ve been waiting for a true Old God expansion since time began.

Murloc Empire

N’Zoth wins, absolutely crushes both the Horde and Alliance to bring the return of the Black Empire.

We spend most of the expansion pickin’ up the pieces and tryin’ to find a way to stop a fully released Old God.

Since undead are resistant, if not outright immune, to the whispers, we delve into the Shadowlands to find some kind of power or weapon to defeat N’Zoth.

New class: Necromancer.

Dark, hopeless, full of people running around playing their new Dragon-based class breathing fire on things.

Full of Void bad things and Dragon good things

I want dragons to raise from the regrettable and painful state they were left after Cata.

Sure they’ve come closer to “accepting” but meh, I want them flying all over Azeroth, procreating once more, doing their dragon things.

I want a Black Dragonflight slowly but surely growing and rejoining their different-colored brethren.

And…perhaps, a battle against Galakrond?. As long as it’s not another WoD I’m not against a little, small, docile, calculated, safe, contained use of messing up with time.

What I’d like to see?

Black Empire / Void - Sylvanas gets her comeuppance, Nathanos croaks, World revamp happens, level squish, Thrall is Warchief again, Azshara gets a far more meaningful role, and N’zoth is the prime antagonist.

What we’ll probably get…

Shadowlands - With Sylvanas the heroic Banshee saving us from N’zoth. All part of the plan!

Pre-Cata questing system w/ a dash of TBC dungeon design and a heaping of WotLK story style and professions meaning something again.
