What do you want the next BG to look like?

For me quite honestly I just want something crazyish. I get it needs to fit in the Biltz format too but I want to see some crazy map design with a few gimmicky resource type things or something.

Incorporate D.R.I.V.E.

Really though I just want more maps like silvershard mines / deephaul ravine. We don’t need a crazy new gimmicky objective for every map. Just some variety in terrain / visuals with the formulas that we already have would be awesome.

Save the wild gimmicks for brawls. I would love to have a D.R.I.V.E. capture the flag brawl.

I’d just love some new variations of existing map types. Give me a new WSG, AB, Silvershard Mines, etc.
While having new map types would be cool, it’s been a very, very long time since we got a new WSG or AB style map.

We got deep wind revamp a few years ago. They should make deep wind the old style. It will fit better in blitz in today’s day and age.

Deephaul Ravine is honestly a very well made map - the most recent iteration.

I would like a new Gilneas map or flag map with another aesthetic.

King of the hill, 4 teams of 5. 1 healer 4 dps, no tanks allowed. Limited respawns

more than 2 team BGs would be fun.
Imagine how salty people would get when they get ganged up on though lol.

From my time playing in large 3 way battles (PlanetSide and GW2 world vs world PvP) it’s actually more balanced than only having 2 sides. But this is more for open world massive warfare, not sure how well it would play in a smaller map.

That would be up there with getting the winning cap in wsg/tp with less than 5 seconds left

It happens more than you think.
Assuming a large scale, persistent map, 3 teams is better balanced because even if 2 of the sides both attack the third, eventually they will have to come into conflict with each other and then the underdog can make a comeback.

It’s worked rather well in the two games I’ve played it in. It sort of has an loose auto balance feature built into it because there’s always that 3rd team there to counter the strongest team. Oh yes population balance still matters of course but having 3 teams helps mitigate the problems of having unbalanced factions more than only 2 teams.

Thats actually a good idea imo.
However, imagine the wait time for the 4 healers and then splitting up the dps ‘fairly’.
Not sure the WoW PvP devs could handle that one.
Also Queue times might be ‘OK’ at the start but im guessing the bracket would be dead like rated BG’s after a few weeks.

I don’t actually think this is going to become a thing, nobody from this company reads the forums. But if it was it should just be added to the main pool of battlegrounds, not it’s own thing. This game already splits up different modes too much

Throw it in the regular pool of maps and it’s just like a common 10 man random battleground. 4 healers and 16 DPS

blizz need to do to every BG what they did with the arathi blizzard brawl but different weather effects or whatever to breathe some life into the old BGS would be a nice start

I think we should have 5-6 more capture the flag maps.

2-3 more 3 base domination maps.
1-2 more 5 base domination maps.

I’m scared when they design new type of objectives. Seething Shore…

I’d be down for more dynamic weather in the game overall. Not just rain effects that last for a few seconds.

100% a good idea it would be another layer to get people out in the world abit more and keep it interesting even when you’re just cruising around doing world quests or something

The main problem I see with more than two sides is queue syncers would totally take advantage and go in decimate the other 5 man teams and potentially win trade with each other, or if it came down to two queue sync teams against each other it would still be a miserable experience for anyone unlucky enough to get in that game.

If they can fix queue syncing premade indefinitely then I could see this idea being fun though.

With the implementation of neighborhoods and housing I’d love to see a map where you’re building a town/fort using customizations to defend from the other team’s invasions. You could build turrets, walls, stealth detectors, etc trying to protect your town (maybe king of the hill or protect your flag kind of map).

Against a ranged heavy team, build lots of LoS and anti magic things (aka permanent grounding totems that refresh every 3 seconds)

Against melee heavy comps have lots of walls, snare traps and bunkers to attack from.

Against stealth heavy team create chokeholds with lots of stealth detection.

Think like WSG where you get to customize your base to counter the enemy team better and prevent them from getting inside.

You haven’t been following the CS forum, have you? Looks like a ban wave for win traders went out and their tears are delicious! So yes it may take a season or two but win traders absolutely do get suspended.
