title say it all what do you guys think about a dps only queue for arena. im having a hard time finding a good healer that i can play with. but i have many dps friends who would like a dps only queue. just want yall opinion on that

Awful. Terrible. Limits spec/comp variety to extreme degree as well as playstyle and win conditions.

I think most games would end really quickly.
If your spec can’t survive multiple rogues opening on you, you’re probably doomed.
People would play it in droves initially, realize the balance is absolutely, gut wrenchingly awful for most classes, complain nonstop on the forums about it, then eventually stop qing it.
Even the first few weeks before season, when people hadn’t fully worked out what their specs were capable of, 2v2 dps only skrims lasted like 30 seconds or less, and have very little skill expression. It was 100% who used cd’s first.
One of you should consider healing. Disc feels like playing a DPS anyway as a starting option, and once you’ve healed for so long you realize the biggest difference (outside of being targeted with more CC) is that numbers on your screen are green instead of yellow/red, and the trade off is a lifetime fast pass to do any content you want to do.

They should make double dps in 2s viable. I haven’t seen it work since SL.

We wouldnt need dps only queues if dou ble dps were on same foot as healer dps.
I am not asking for all double dps comps to be viable at first, we could start with hybrid/dps. If they didnt gut ret healing I would still be spamming ret/bm 2s just like bfa and SL
2s needs to bring healer/dps comps down to earth

thats all me and a friend play but on rotations of toons, never real comps and facing healers this xpac feels awful if they have even the slightest idea how to play their class

On paper, its possible and it could be realy fun. In reality, it won’t happen, ever.
People rage when we have already established pvp game modes due to lack of constant balance. They creating a new pvp game mode is already very unlikely, much less dedicate time to not only do a new template to each spec, but to also balance it.

thats EXACTLY what i mean. they could put it there for thoses that want it ! me and my buddy play casually these days and we are not really good at healing. we like cc chain / burst of double dps. we would like so much a 2 dps only queue. it wouldnt hurt nobody and i find fast arena much more fun.
Unfortunately in order to have DPS only games, the game needs to be built like that from the ground up, like GW2 and BDO for example. It won’t work in WoW unless there is a complete overhaul of the combat specifically for PvP and frankly Blizzard is never going to do that.
