What do you think is the next fun Elemental Shaman talent the devs are going to remove?

Since it seems like fun talents/spells are often the first to go when it comes to Elemental Shaman, what do you think is next on the chopping block?

My bet is “Fusion of the Elements” — it’s way too fun watching Elemental Blast cast itself along with everything else. Can’t have that!

Honorable mentions of fun stuff that got removed or butchered:

  • Skybreaker’s Fiery Demise
  • Primordial Wave for FS spreading and multi LB
  • Gust of Wind (removed in BFA — thankfully it came back)
  • Echoing Shock
  • Chain Harvest
  • Vesper Totem
  • Flame Shock with no cooldown! (Legion)

But hey, at least we have Thunderstrike Ward now!

Me too. I was Night Fae during Shadowlands, and it was nice having an AoE damage/healing ability.

Prolly Primordial Storm, cause they keep pushing Ascendence on us, though I hope they tone down Ascendence. Its so boring. “Turn into big guy and spam thing!”

Funny enough, Fae Transfusion was bad for AE. Good for ST.

No way anyone will convince me that having a channeled cast was fun.

I like channeled spells. Arcane Missiles, Mind Flay/Void Torrent, and Fae Transfusion are some of my all-time favorite spells. I hope the game gets more of them.

About as much as any other spell cast. Maybe a little longer but not so much that it becomes an issue. I found having Fae Transfusion to be very rewarding on enhancement specifically. It was a powerful and rewarding cast that made for a strong-feeling gameplay moment and, eventually, gave you a really big crit buff and cd on your wolves. Worked really well into the spec’s fantasy of being a melee spellcaster hybrid by giving you a hard cast worth using.

The melee with the weakest defenses. With no other casting spells.

A channelled spell gets you killed

It practically full-healed you (and allies) as well. Back when Enh healing was bonkers but you had mana issues. Good times.

They will remove Liquid magma totem and all talents AND. JUST. KEEP. ECHOES. OF THE GREAT. SUNDERING.

honestly this wouldnt surprise me. it really feels like they want us hard applying flame shock to every single target.

they’ll remove magma totem and add a 1 second cast time to flame shock.
