Well, you can also open a ticket to Blizzard and tell them to erase the Horde.
Is this the answer you wanted?
Alliance has a raiding community, the issue is that its slowly draining due to the competitive shift towards Horde.
No amount of pr solves a number drain.
That would solve a lot of my problems. But I donât think it would be fair to the people who actually like playing Horde.
Look, weâre not anti-horde (except when itâs fun). Weâre anti-stupid and anti-imbalance.
Right now thereâs a major imbalance, and anyone suggesting that alliance players are either responsible for it, or can otherwise do much about it, are being stupid because thatâs just not how things work in WoW.
This isnât EvE Online where a powerful corporation can stockpile trillions of ISK worth of resources, munitions, ships that are otherwise impossible to build or afford solo, and ISK and pull people away from other alliances with promises of free ships, secure, organized lowsec mining, and lots of action in an otherwise boring game.
Youâre saying âjust create a community and let the horde know how kewl you are! itâs so easy! I just donât know why you didnât think of this earlier! You just show them how kewl you are, and your population problems will be over tomorrow!â
I mean, thatâs just not how things work. People who hate the horde because of how their races, cities, etc look are actively going horde because they just want to play the game in ways that are currently impossible on the alliance faction.
Again, what are we supposed to offer them? Exactly what?
Im down to two ideas, since racials tend yo only matter to one percent of players:
-
Give Alliance an early instance unlock
-
Give Alliance a small, marginal buff in raid content
I read a lot of Alliance complains every day in the forums, and honestly my opinion is:
Alliance players mostly complain. They wear the âvictimâ robe when they wake up. For me, the players that gave Horde a status of âbetter factionâ was the Alliance.
Alliance see everything that happens in game as Horde favoritism. Literally everything.
Take AV as an example. You have a big advantage just by having that bridge before your base. I have seen only a few Alliance players using at for their advantage, by pushing people out of it.
The Alliance mindset is so low right now that people donât even try anymore. Thatâs why they go to the Horde.
When I told you to create a community, I didnât mean a super-duper-raider community. I meant a community to tell people âhey, stop seeing every grass on the ground as a Horde thingâ.
But as I read your previous replies in this topic, apparently you cannot do it because you are one of the people that only complain and see âHordeâ in everything.
I am not saying that the Alliance is better than the Horde or that they are balanced, I am just saying that this is just one of the several reasons why people donât play Alliance.
Nobody wants to play a faction that wipes and say âuh Horde is better thatâs why we suckâ.
Forums has never been a judge of a community, vocal minorities are vocal minorities.
Gonna be honest, no one is interested in extending a game of Korraks in a turtleâŚespecially when most are leveling. Its is fsr more advantageous for leveling to do as many as possible due to fast queue.
You meanâŚthe Alliance rper community?
Thatâs because youâre being a tool.
The alliance has credible complaints.
âŚso does the Horde. The difference is that where the Warchief shuffle and âare we the baddies?â problems are both fixable, our population problems might not be.
Also, being the baddies doesnât prevent you from playing, or otherwise having an excellent M+, raid, and PvP experience. Meanwhile, having a lack of end-game participation absolutely does for us. So if you donât want to play horde, but you love end-gameâŚyeah. We complain a fair bit because itâs the only way to get things fixed. Just like you complain about losing yet another warchief after getting ogrimmar seiged yet again after serving yet another genocidal madman.
I mean, Iâll freely admit that the alliance story this expansion kicks the crap out of the Hordeâs. Jainaâs story was amazing. Best storytelling theyâve ever done, hands down.
Now if they could just get Anduin to stop reminding me of a peanut-butter sandwich on wonderbread with the crusts cut offâŚ
Yep, Anduin was not meant to be the King (at least now, but rip Varian :/).
Honestly I donât blame Garrosh, he did all of that for the Horde. Thrall raised him that way, and killed him to erase one of his failures in life. I mean, even Varian gave him a second chance and the Celestials let him live.
Loved it aswel, hands down my favorite Alliance character.
I completely agree that both sides have things to complain. It is normal to do so. But from my perspective that Alliance complain so much that it reached a point where everything is a reason to complain, and looking at the amount of complains make people switch sides.
First step to strength the Alliance is change their mindset. It is not something that will change in a day, week or month. But it is a first step to it.
I say that because everytime I play my Human Rogue, most things I read in general chat are just toxic people spreading toxicityâŚ
He could be though. Heâs just got a bit more growing up to do.
Iâd like to see him get married like his father did, to a strong woman who basically completes him. Any of the strong alliance women who are currently available would do, but my money is on Talia because Iâm pretty sure itâs why she was made in the first place. Iâd like even more to see a love triangle or more between him, Talia, Tess Greymane, and Lorna Crowley [rawr!] as the women all fight over who will become queen. And because they all fit the bill of âstrong female characterâ without being shoehorned in for reasons of pandering.
Then have a âOMG! A repeat of his mother!â scare moment where he gets to know his father better than he was ever able while he was alive, but have her live this time.
Boom. The boy-king gets to become a man who is a little more ruthless than the current Anduin, but still has that fair, steady, even hand that sets him apart from his father.
Thatâs a faction leader I would follow into hell, but theyâve actually got to spend time to develop him.
Itâs not the complaints that are making people switch sides. Itâs the reasons why weâre complaining.
End-game is just better horde side because of the population imbalance.
Youâre confusing the effect for the cause.
Really all that would be needed to attract more interest for high-end endgame participation would be to implement faction-specific rewards for faction-firsts in raiding. Most likely you would still have Horde guilds getting all the world-firsts but you would also see a race for Alliance-first. This idea would need some polishing and more detail to actually be viable but it would generate some more interest in high-end raiding on Alliance.
Haha thats rich. Whos OUR warchief btw?
