What do you hypothesize might happen if we "defeat" the void once and for all?

Would the natural laws of balance fall into chaos? Are we going to get a Shadowbringers situation where light runs rampant?

What do you think?

I think that exact scenario is going to happen.

Remember alternate Draenor, and the Lightbound with Yrel?

And the whole Xe’ra and Illidan thing back in Legion?

We even had the Priory in TWW. Scarlet Crusade vibes in there.

The rest of the Arathi Empire will likely be unfriendly to us.

Faerin left to escape, she was a burden to them. She wasn’t ‘supposed’ to be on the Hallowfall expedition, but she disobeyed orders.

The Light is 100% going to be a villain in a future expansion, perhaps even Midnight? Or later.

Watch the void be our unexpected savior, or something along those lines.

Oh boy this is just going to make Anduin question his worthiness even further if that plays out, if the light can be malicious then how is he going to rationalize his trauma…

The parallels between Anduin, and Thrall not being able to wield the elements, are kinda suspect.

They’re both their respective faction leaders as well, or used to be.

Maybe they’re both just gonna re-roll to warriors lol

Well, minor spoilers for TWW MSQ…

He wields the light again at the very end to save Khadgar.

He’s a Paladin Lite™

I’m curious if they’re lining up Thrall to be the posterboy for a new class…or if they’re just going to somehow allow him to reattune to the elements.

That would be an interesting way to end WoW. We defeat the void and utterly destroy it. Only to play into the Light’s hands and all stagnant into radiant light. Perfect order of stillness. Thus the game ends.

Have we tried holding a bake sale

Are we going to raise money for WoW 2?

I dunno.

I thought maybe the Void would like some home made baked goods.

Who doesnt like home made baked goods.

You can’t defeat the void anymore than you can defeat gravity or inertia.

It’s not a thing. It’s a rule.

What we can and likely will defeat will be the Void lords. Which will have exactly the same effect that defeating Saragaras had. Void beings will still exist, but there won’t be an all-powerful force behind them directing them to do as much damage as possible.

Which would be great, because the void at it’s core just wants to explore every possible path and without the Void Lords the other void beings would be free to explore paths that don’t revolve around consuming the universe.

Nope, WoW Mobile.

What you don’t have phones?

That’s an interesting thought, but also consider the Titans also have the same endgame where they want a perfectly contained universe where everything is ordered.

The Naaru stop us just short of killing them.

Maybe we can get back to Horde vs Alliance, the way it should be.

No Sunday posting in my thread, begone.

Every force has their secret agenda, some are worse for living beings some are better, but none are particularly benevolent.

I think ultimately the champions and the people of azeroth will likely defeat every cosmic force and stop their negative influence on them.

I don’t think this means that they will disappear, i mean, the fel did not disappear after the burning legion was defeated, they just stopped them from being an annoyance.

So, a Priest then?

The other thing that makes this conversation harder is that not every force the same in its existence.

We know that the void is both a source of power and a physical place. If you destroy everything that is associated with the void, does the place just disappear? We don’t know.

We also don’t know if all of the other forces are the same. I mean, is there a physical holy, arcane, or necromantic plane of existence that we haven’t found yet? Although necromantic is associated with death, so that may be the Shadowlands. Nature could be the Emerald Dream…
