As the title says, I’d like to know what you find to be the most fun part of playing a monk.
Rolling off cliffs by accident.
I mainly enjoy healing, afterwards the tank.
The healing (mistweaving - casting) feels just right for me. There are many possibilities and little combos possible. The mobility is great to have (with a lack of reducing fall damage).
I enjoy the philosophy. It’s all around fun to play. It only feels like there was something missing. I believe having Chi and small mitigations that consume it would round it up very nicely.
The tank is very fun to play with all these possibilities. The unique stagger to have an eye on. The rotation consisting of many spells. The big toolkit. The pace it is being played.
Both specs have a high skill ceiling (mainly tank) and it’s great to find out new combinations that let you play better.
I can’t speak for DD as I have played this spec the least.

Storm, Earth and Fire. Skyreach gap-closer. Rising Sun Kick.
The mobility is really fun.
The rotations are cool.
It’s one of those easy to learn, hard to master classes.
Cool personal utility like zen flight and zen meditation.
The monk from the initial pandaria reveal trailer really hit home with me and thats when I found my main. Rolling around breathing fire and backhanding mobs was with a touch of highflying kicks was icing on the cake. Dont care if they every become meta / fotm I found my class, and when they can become LFDraenei soon I will likely stop playing alts all together.
Skyreach is the best thing about windwalker. I love it.

I really like the channeling method of healing. I know it’s not the most popular spec to play, but as someone who plays every other healer, it’s really nice to have something different.
It’s the hybrid class that nobody plays.
And I like the celestials theme. I like how each spec has its own celestial it rolls with. But I do wish it had 4 specs so MW didn’t have to choose between 2 celestials.

I’ve been a Monk main since MoP launch and love every bit of the class (all 3 specs!), but what I appreciate most is how unique the class is compared to Monks from other MMOs. There’s really nothing like it. Best iteration hands down.

SKY REACH BY FAR… BUT I LOVE how you have to have some finesse as a monk
Mostly nostalgia at this point, because once upon a time the skill floor to ceiling on the class was extremely high.
As your understanding of the class grew so did your ability to really push it’s boundaries
MW: Don’t think it’s mentioned once in this thread, but the thing I find most fun/satisfying is MW having the “great reset” with Revival. Clearing almost all debuffs while nuke healing everyone. I know a lot of people dislike revival, but you can’t dismiss the feeling of being the “savior”.
WW: I never liked WW until DF (despite this existing in Torghast) allowing Blackout Kick to cleave. Very fun.
BrM: Has to be Clash. Grip+charge is fun, but wish the dead zone didn’t exist.
