Ultimately I’m tired of WoW. I have renewed another month and I’m playing like 5-10 minutes per day, for the last week, only playing the Auction House.
In my spare time, due to covid and the lack of social meetings with my friends and family I’ve been reading books that I bought years ago and I never stopped to read.
I’m also lurking through Netflix and I’ve been practicing photography. Sometimes I watch a sports channel.
I don’t like other games besides WoW. I dislike FPS. I enjoy RTS, though, but I don’t like WC3 Reforged.
So WoW is the only thing I play and now I’m very exhausted of it.
What do you do when you are in my situation? Thanks.
Take the right medicine and I’m in it to win it. Tried messing off in FF14 for about a month, but the people there are weird and it just didn’t quite hook me despite having every reason to (final fantasy introduced me to video RPGs). Not sure if that’s a worthy diversion at this time.
Lately since I’ve been tired of 8.3 I’ve been getting into Classic. The further I get and the more guildies help me out I start to realize it truly is a classic game, it may not be as slick as retail but it’s a lot older and built by different people, and deserves some recognition as a true retro classic imo.
Just got Loremaster of Outland this morning and starting on WoTLK.
Outside of that I’ve done 5 hours OT at work this weekend, watch youtube videos (mostly music videos), I give my friends a call and maybe just talk for a long time about anything really.
Entertainment wise I ready dystopian/crime ficton and like stuff like Black Mirror/Hannibal I enjoy. Me and sis are two peas in a sombre-reality-brings-us-happiness pod.
Most of this COVID lockdown I’ve been buying used DS games on Ebay. Experiencing things I missed out on because at the time, between WoW and grad school, I didn’t have time to play them. Like why did no one tell me how good Radiant Historia was at the time?
Final Fantasy Chrystal Chronicles Remastered comes out for phone, switch and ps4 in two days. I loved that game on gamecube but you couldn’t play multiplayer without a gameboy for each player. There were some issues as a result like being unable to trade between characters just because you didn’t have hardware.
This new version looks very much in the spirit of the original and it utterly fixes that massive hardware boondoggle. I’ll be picking it up for PS4 on the day, might try running it with bluestacks later to play on the comp if it seems remotely worth it.
Also excited my girlfriend’s kids want to try it. For a final fantasy it’s very kid friendly and that would be beyond cool if I could get them into it. WoW will need to wait a few years, but oh yes, they will know WoW.
So If I’m not playing classic or first three LFR or gear emissaries or assaults, it’ll be some FFCCR.
I kind of want to get into raiding in classic, not so much retail, but it sounds pretty casual friendly on my server to at least do molten core. Which has tier, something not even mythic has. I love the idea of armor sets.
I have met a few abrasive people on my server though so those could be the poop flingers doing the pugs for all I know. Just have to wait and see, half the time I play classic I’m gathering and playing the economy because you need so much money. Conversely retail will give you enough money to get everything you need but maybe a boe, and still come out ahead each week depending on discretionary spending.
In classic it’s worth it to sell stuff for a few silver, because even a single gold is kind of something. A few hundred gold certainly is. Nowadays I spend hundreds of gold every few days just changing up my mogs.
Got a nice mummy face now. Thought the old one was good, really digging the “I see without eyes” look.
Book reading is good but televisions may weaken your brain… you better stick to interactive entertainment.
I hope you don’t bathe in negativity just to be cool like the doomsayers on the forum who pretend to hate everything Blizzard is doing because it does not fit their own playstyle.
People should not be allowed to take or even thinking of taking a break from World of Warcraft. Playing this wonderful game should be mandatory for all humans. MANDATORY!
Bow down before the Dark Lady, Goddess of Death!
For the Forsaken!
Death to the living!
I too only like to play wow.
I found out I enjoy making new characters.
I have been bored with the game, so since I main a healer.
I decided to make a new character to try every healing spec.
Druid is my main.
Leveled a monk.
Now currently leveling a priest for healing.
I plan to get their cape, and stop. I dont want to spend that grind on them for it to be gone in SL. Heck I may not play them down the line if I dont enjoy their healing rotation…
Next will be a shaman…
And if I have time I will roll a paladin.
Its fun to play the different classes as a healer for me.
I learned to heal and have only healed ever as a druid. So for me, I feel like I’m playing a whole new game while I level these new characters.
I don’t get tired of the game very much; if there is something I am tired of (like current patch), I just do some random things I’ve yet to complete. I have recently been working on getting more rep with various old factions, and I don’t even know why. I actually like leveling characters to 120 and then… nothing
I play something random on Steam.
Read super random things. A friend likes to give me the books she’s already finished… so it’s really random.
I watch old movies, because old movies = love.
I also like to teach my dog new tricks. She’s pretty clever and picks up on things fast.
Always something to do. Summer is easy. Winter is terrible with short days and everything frozen. Ask yourself if the game ended tomorrow would you miss it. If the answer is yes, it might be wise to take a few steps back.
