I’m sure I have a contact somewhere in my folder of names who could arrange that lol

I was a highschool teacher before covid. I was not thrilled that my school system wanted to go back to the classroom in the fall of 2020 so I went full time at my summer gig working for the state’s tolling agency.

These days I’m paid to yell at the 20 something’s we’ve hired to drive the big red trucks and protect them from themselves.

I am a banker.

Cryptocurrency and NFT pump n dumps

Storyboards and Illustrations (prop design) for a thing or three.

Not as exciting as it seems. Most people think the Directors and Producers want Matrix / Marvel Studio style storyboards and animatics, when in reality you are spending 8-to-12 hrs doing Knives Out Storyboards.

Lots of side income (ad revenue, etc) and building websites for people and organizations.

A lot of what I do is contract review, and reading hundreds of pages of paragraph long run on sentences makes my eyes bleed after a while

Tends to remind me of customer s who swear kitchens go out of our/their way to mess up their orders.

I was a big-iron financial sector application architect - most of the time freelance contracting, late career worked for Aflac and then Geico (respectively the worst and best companies I ever worked for).

I pay for my sub out of my retirement and my VA disability money - I live a very simple life in a very small duplex with only my cat to care for besides myself - my children are all grown and gone and I owe my ex-wife nothing - paid up there.

Every year or so I buy a single major PC upgrade component - most recently an RX3800 I got on sale (new in box) after the prices on those crashed.

I play on and off about 12 hours a day (broken up with housework, cat play, naps, and eating).

I do not farm. If I need gold in game, I buy a token. Life’s too short to pick flowers for $15 a month.

Did you work when the semiconductor shortage hit? How was that? I’ve always been curious about the inner workings of that industry.
