I’ve been told multiple times that because I chose a high elf skin color for my velf that im not a void elf, if im listed as a void elf and have void elf racials then im a void elf. People also love to tell me that void elves just want blood elf customizations even though belves did not have purple and blue eyes and pale skin colors aswell as the purple and blue eyes belong to high elves which are an alliance race. What elf youre considered in the void/blood/high elf races is not based on what you look like but rather which faction youre on for the blood and high elves. Regarding void elves alleria has a void form and is not in her void form all the time. One of our racials turns us voidy for a bit which means that I am indeed, a void elf. New purple void elves cant be made so in the velf starting zone blood elves and high elves are training to become void elves just without their purple color.
Void Elfs are just a faction of existing Blood Elfs. Belfs are mad cause they dabble in that void stuff.
Purple Velfs are purple cause they are embracing the void. Velfs that are light skinned are Belfs but are in transitioning into void elfs (purple side).
Yes, but high elves are transitioning too which is the point of the post.
A lot of that is just personal RP and how you choose to view your character. In gameplay you’re going to be considered a void elf, but your own story can be whatever you want.
Horde elf - Blood elf
Void aesthetics - Void elf
Alliance non-void colors - Either one. You can RP as a void elf who like Alleria can suppress the effects. Or you can be a normal high elf, it’s your call. That high elf could also be a prospect void elf wanting to study under them or entirely separate with no connection.
A velf is a naughty belf. A belf is a helf.
Eh, Blizz has made it sound like if youre on the horde you are a blood elf no matter the eye color. We’ve seen a couple blood elf npcs with blue eyes who are blood elves

The eye color thing is something you should ignore. Technically speaking all belf and helf people should have golden eyes because of their dependence on the new sunwell. Only helfers and belves who want to troll them are like MUH BLUE EYES.

But 1/10 or so of the surviving high elves stayed with the alliance so they do not have access to the sunwell, the other ones yes they should probably have them.
Serious question: What is the infatuation with elves? Specifically High Elves?
People complain all the time that the alliance is so boring and unoriginal with its humans and what not. But is there any fantasy race more boring and overused than elves? Honestly, Orcs, Elves, Trolls, Dwarves, even Gnomes are all as basic as it gets and are just as bad as humans when it comes to original points.

You don’t need to be near the sunwell to benefit from it. headdesk literally all thalassian elves use it as a source of power.
High Elves are currently unplayable NPCs mostly found in Northrend.
Blood Elves are The Horde playable race.
And Void Elves shouldn’t be a thing.
That makes zero sense, so you’re saying a blood elf could be in outland and just get some golden eyes?
