What do we think about skilled capped?

I’m subbed to them on youtube and they make really good content.

They lost any interest I had in them when they did RMP as their zero to hero.

that’s extremely subjective at best

Don’t be so stand off -ish. Give it a try prob could use a few tips n tricks.

I can’t imagine it’s worth the time let alone the money.

check this one out dude.

they also come out with like 1minute videos with recent must know information. and they’re pretty well made and watchable.

Great content i reckon numenorean could really pick up some valuable information from this

i never bothered subbing to them. i think i visited their site one time checked out a warrior guide and found out it was locked behind a pay wall. no ty

I’m just subbed on youtube but I did sub to them early on when i started to pvp. Helped me learn how to setup my UI.

I’m not in anyway trying to advertise their services, but when i watch their videos im just like wow i didn’t know that. I think a lot of people could learn from their videos tbh.

their youtube is really good. which is free.

ill check em out on youtube if it’s free.

wow arena is so abrasive and difficult to get into as a new player
anything that helps make the initial barrier / skillfloor smoother is good for the game

but skillcapped youtube videos are aimed at the demographic of lfg mains that don’t understand a ton about the game or know/care enough to digest patchnotes or the mechanics of classes they don’t play

there’s so much nuance involved in spec strength / tier listing that they obviously put to the side to give players with NO clue a decent opportunity to somewhat understand the meta

knowing other classes is def important. but even when like old rank 1s come back they can usually jump to the top pretty quick cause they understand the concepts of the game. meta can be learned by just playing games imo.

like a rogue vanish one shots you and then next time you kind of know a little better and learn to expect it. but something like positioning and cross cc are harder to learn by just playing.

Honestly I think that the worst part for most people is just getting queues. In most other popular games you press a button, get into a match and can practice. In wow you spend 50-80% of your time as a DPS suffering in the finder just to get a group that’ll blow up after a loss.

Between that, the steep learning curve of actually playing, the gearing, time required, etc, it’s…a bit much. I hope that they address all these things in Dragonlands.

Just let people slam their face into games and figure stuff out rather than spending 30 hours earning the privilege of getting declined by most healers in lfg.

Yeah, fundamentals are huge. multi-r1 is gonna die to some rando duelist-glad players a few times while they’re figuring out damage foresight for the season, gimmicks, etc, but what makes them different is that they’ll adapt and overcome as an individual and team.

i def agree with not making it so hard to get players to just start playing. i hear so many people complain about not wanting to do arenas because they join a LFG and then they get smoked by someone with 20k+ more HP.

Yeah, so, even with equal gear people will get smashed, but it’s about perception. People need to feel like they were or are on equal footing or they just throw in the towel. Any external thing.

thats true. but also i hear about rank 1s, like palumor for example said he used to just mess around and never cared about arena for a long time and then he suddenly got interested and now he’s among the best.

if the game is playable and it allows an average player entry level into arenas, and its easier to be on equal ground as someone else, then i think we would have a healthier and more active pvp player base.

Just wild to me that someone who win traded for a rank 1 title can make videos that people gobble up.

lol that’s what Kennie is doing btw. Oops hope i didnt say that out loud. :flushed:

whos that? the guy talking?

there’s so little good arena content videos that i can’t help but hope for their success.

i wish more great players made in depth spec guides each patch. it doesn’t exist for WW, like it does for surv hunter (bicmex with a 2 hour surv guide) or like for rdruid (flop with a 4 hour rdruid guide).

so anyway, more arena content on youtube is good. their videos are easily digestible and probably brings more players to trying arena.
