I’ve been having a blast playing my Augmentation Evoker lately and wanted to see what you all think about them.

Should have been a tank spec and they ruin the dragon aesthetic
I’ve been playing it a bit in m0 and I gotta say personally I’m having a hard time really enjoying it.
Its surprisingly exhausting to play for being really simple but I’m also going above and beyond to try and get the most out of it. So being an off healer, controlling mobs, optimizing dmg, and still tracking CDs and timers.
It just doesn’t feel very rewarding to me personally because the (Aug specific) support aspects are largely passive. And I wish it was more clutch or active. Zephyr and rescue shield for example, feel very rewarding and clutch, but pres/dev have those too.
I prefer very punchy/active support like what shadow priest/ret pally can bring. Offheals on them can actually be very significant. And the emerald blossom setup on Aug isn’t very good since it feels like blossom got left behind in tuning.
I remember being able to actually heal significantly with blossom as Aug in df and would be very clutch in some moments.
The timing on ebon might CD can feel really bad sometimes and there’s moments where it’s not worth casting again so the remainder of a pull im just contributing basically nothing. That doesn’t feel good either
I can totally relate to this portion, when packs are about 35% and its not worth casting Ebon again, you’re just there spitting living flames or rebuffing in hopes to finish them off lol
It’s incredibly good for all of the content that isn’t available to us yet, and underwhelming for all of the content that is.
Same way it’s always been.
It’s still a unique and interesting spec with great spells and flavorful hero talents that surprisingly work with its Black/Bronze origins. I’m very happy it’s in the game to add some diversity of gameplay.
I just hit 80 today on this guy, but so far i prefer devast(scalecommander) and preserv (chrono)
Aug has always been the one of the 3 i enjoy less. Not sure why. I
I don’t know. I’m kinda on the fence with it. I enjoy the look of the spells. I feel weak out of a group and in a group I feel like I’m not contributing. I know you can log and check the data but meh.
I feel like the identity is lost with the support class.
