What do we need?

What feature do you think wow needs?

Tbh… it’s not a feature we need. A good director will result in good and fun features.

wow just needs a new director. Replace ion already. How do you make a bad game worse? When you have a fool calling the shots.

Well that’s a good question, I think…

Wait, that’s not a feature.

You’re right. Let me edit that

Brightside, Blizzard doesn’t know how to implement features in the first place, so this is right up their alley, pruning without explanation, GO!

Alright. Point for blizzard =) I guess it doesn’t matter if there is monkey as director or ion. All the same then.

Sorry but I don’t think just like with the previous calls for the head of the lead designer, it’ll change anything. There are people quite enjoying this expansion to be honest.

I just think a fresh approach would maybe help. This team feels fake with so much ‘yes men’ going around. Not to mention their obsession with numbers, statistics etc…

The maybe it is time to just kill off the game and make something completely new and fresh.

No reason to ‘kill the game’ that’s kinda being over dramatic.

It might just be me, but I think they will have to get to the “What do we have to lose” point before they do something crazy.

No need to upset the cash cow when there is still plenty of milk in there

Everquest is still active and releases x-packs. Why would they ever kill wow?

If wow isn’t bringing enough cash they will kill it.

My opinion is they still do so it won’t be killed. But how do you increase the cash flow? By pissing of the community? Nah… by something nice and exciting. Obviously that was their hope for torghast and failed.

They need news with bright ideas. The people that do the best work are the ones that do it for a hobby. Wow is too much a cash grab now. Release a half *** game so everyone buys it. Then get ready to come out with another within 2 years to cash grab again. But fundamentally it’s the same game every 2 years with a new wardrobe

Absolutely. I agree, it’s a shame 'cause I think some small changes with just overall design approach would help. And maybe being a bit more transparent with faults etc… it takes them a huge amount of time to finally come out and say ''yes , even though alpha, beta, and the rest of you complained about it for so long, we just realized we were wrong ‘’ lol you get my drift I hope :stuck_out_tongue:

Needs to be WoW 2 tbh. I really don’t know what we’d be doing after SL - would they do another Cata world redesign? On this old bag of bones of a game?

But the forums are a horrible measure of how the game is doing. Lots of people are praising Torghast, PVP, and the Raids.

Zombie Dragons!
It’s so funny they actually added this in Exile’s Reach.

I would actually love if they remade the whole game with a new graphics engine. Wow is getting pretty out of date.

If they ever made world of starcraft. I’d be willing to sign up to try it out.

Shadowlands seems fine so far, much better than BfA’s reaction. No need to replace or end what isn’t dying, despite what the forums have said for 16 years.

Replacing Ion isn’t going to do anything. Players will still complain and just pin the blame on whoever came next. Every director has gotten backlash, it just comes with being the face of things. But it doesn’t mean nothing positive has ever happened or that the game is going south.

Pvp - yes. Raids - yea, but it’s getting boring pretty fast. Torghast? Even in game it sounds like the minority that likes it

Biggest thing I have wanted for years is some sort of protection against leavers in M+.
Not punishment for them, but just something that protects my key against things that are not actual mistakes in the PVE, like DCs or ragers.

I had outlined a currency system that could be used to replenish a key that was downgraded, that could reroll a key, or even upgrade a key for a very high amount of currency, and I think you could loop in gear rewards too as that seems to be a problem for people right now.

Either way, that is the biggest thing I would like to see happen.

i’m not sure how much it would help the game to have ion out of there since activision’s creeping corruption is also part of the picture, but i think it would help.

ion has proven 110% that he has no clue what’s good for the game or what made wow as popular as it was. it wasn’t pandering and designing around raiders or the tiny populace that exploit the game…it wasn’t the time gates…wasn’t any of this scaling trash. as terribly balanced as the game was in the beginning, it was still in the proper place to be called an rpg. it wasn’t designed around manipulation and lies.

ion doesn’t belong in game development. at all. and that is fact. you get an actual game dev in there, or just anyone who understands what fun is, and the game’d probably improve.
