I’m honestly wondering what having them does for the game. halaa battle tokens? thrallmar tokens? i keep hearing this is a 2 faction game, what does either faction need from each other.
Without Horde and Alliance… what else would all these neck beard ragers on the forums do? That’s right… probably complain about something else that doesn’t actually matter
It’s about as useful as you prattling on about how much it doesn’t matter and how pointless it is.
We know.
This is cathartic for us. If you don’t get it then you will never get it.
by all means, whine about how the only thing holding your group of friends together was instant ques and laughing about how the other faction has to wait an hour to play 1 bg.
the only thing ive hated about 1 server factions is not being able to kill people swooping nodes you are clearing to or currently hitting
You don’t. Alliance doesn’t really need horde either. Factions only really matter in world pvp.
This game is called World of Warcraft. The game was built on horde vs alliance.
Retail WoW keeps moving away from factions mattering. Vanilla (Classic) most definitely had that as a big part of it. TBC did but not as strongly. There is no reason to try to turn a game built around something into something else unless you actually don’t want that game and instead want another one. In which case you should move to another game IMO.
Do the factions really need each other? No. Are the two factions supposed to exist and be rivals? Yes.
We want to argue. Lead, follow or get out of the way.
How about I go about the forums and read or reply to whatever I want to?
Well you are already doing that Lexcin so nothing changes.
Exactly. Thanks for noticing
Please do. Obviously I cannot stop you. I just think it’s ridiculous to go to a video game forum and complain about the people that come here to debate the game. We know it’s pointless. We don’t need you to remind us. Thanks though.
Fun fact; WoW was originally designed without the faction split but the developers implemented it on a whim one day and found the dual faction conflict to be engaging and fun.
This isn’t meant as a jab or anything, just genuinely think this is a cool fact
Fair enough
Alliance provides midgets for us to stomp
Sorry I am grumpy today. I’m not normally like this. I’m old and these kids keep changing things. Change scares and angers the elderly.
Especially if you can fight your own faction in BGs
It is true that I find many of the arguments on the forums pointless… maybe because I don’t think Blizzard cares that much. But obviously people care so sorry to overly impose my position… probably not needed. Happy forum going!
You are too nice for this place. You don’t understand pointless conflict and you are quick to forgive. Leave now before it’s too late.
For all the good work that was done with this game, I hear this way too much about its development. So much stuff they tossed in cause it was cool. So they broke the factions up. Fine. Then, you give players the ability to fight each other, but you don’t balance the game around that. Fine, it’s a PvE game first and foremost I guess. Then, you do the dummy. You attached high end rewards to PvP, a part of the game that you never bothered to balance cause you didn’t think it would become what it did. Then, to double down on that mistake, you add arenas. Making your unbalanced PvP even MORE important and prominent. When you really think about it, the majority of the flaws in this game are PvP related. All cause the devs were just tossing in stuff they thought was cool
I’m not sure why it matters in BG’s either if I’m being honest. The winner or loser has no impact on anything that happens within the game’s story.
