What Do We Do With Shiv?

Do you use shiv in your rotation, if not when do we use it?

Mindnumbing dispels enrage, when shived.

Assassination does use Shiv in rotation. The other 2 specs make a bit of sense, so it’s a utility spell only for sub and outlaw.

Used in conjunction with Numbing Poison, as stated, it will take away an Enrage/Frenzy effect.

You use it as you would use Toxic Blade, use it on cooldown, it’s a dps ability now, not just utility.

That’s only for one of the two specs though.

So I use it off cd as sin?

Yes just like you would use toxic blade in BFA.

Some “smart” dev thought it would be a good idea to bake toxic blade into shiv basically removing the enrage utility for sin

yeah i use it often. Before Sepsis or and envenom cycle becasue it boosts nature (Poison.) dmg

It applies a 70% slow with crippling and gives 1 combo point so use when needed.

If Sub its used to either 1) slow the target as you run for a reset or 2) slow the target to rupture + SnD on them if that target won’t in turn wreck you for being close with no defensives

In pve you’re run into mind numbing not crip

it’s mostly used for slows in pvp with crippling poison, very helpful

In pvp use it on your smoke bomb target so they can’t escape it as fast
