What do the +xx (e.g. +11, +23) numbers mean in the premade group tool?

So, I’m looking to just run a couple of heroic (non-mythic) mechagon runs. I’d prefer not to use the dungeon finder, so I went to the “pre-made” groups and looked for people wanting run it. I’m a tank and I saw a couple of groups needing a tank.
one had “+11 tank” and the other had “+23”

Can anyone tell me what those numbers mean?

Those are still mythic numbers, probably just listed under heroic.

That’s the Mythic key level.

Don’t think you’ll find a Heroic group in the Group finder, just use the queue honestly.

I hate using the queue when I haven’t had a chance to run the dungeon yet. I’m trying to get my bearings as a tank and people are just running ahead and getting impatient. Normally I just queue for non-heroic which is a lot more forgiving and learn the run there, but there is no “standard” for mechagon.

But, I guess there’s nothing for it.

Thanks for letting me know it was for mythic.3

People you might manage to grab in the group finder might even be less patient than people you get in the queue honestly.

Even in Mythic 0s, a slow tank is going to get pulled for. Better yet : just go in as DPS.

those confused me too. mythic is really really beginner unfriendly in understanding the difficulty. it’s incredibly convoluted.

Honestly the only spec I have is protection. I haven’t had a chance to build up my other sets.

Don’t misunderstand, I don’t even want mythic 0, just regular heroic will be fine

Higher number = more difficult.

That’s as straightforward as it can be.

yes, but coming back from start of WoD, numbers on a dungeon make no sense. Combined with “what is a keystone?”, “are keystones painful?”, “where do i put the keystone?”, “why can’t i delete my keystone?”, “what are affixes?”, “why is there a weird pyramid in the middle of the dungeon?”, “why are there random mobs spawning?”, “why is everyone leaving?”. It’s really overwhelming from just doing normal and heroic. It’s a whole different elephant.

The numbers is how many levels up mythic 0

Good thing it’s all introduced slowly then as you progress through it.

Heroic → Mythic 0 (just heroic with extra mechanics), drops your keystone at +2 → +2 has no affixes at all, just “harder” and teaches you how to start and run a timed keystone → +4 introduces the first affix row → +7 introduces the 2nd affix row → +10 introduces the seasonal affixes.

Progressive, straightforward.

Obviously, you know the terminology, so I’m guessing your exaggerating the “complexity” just to generate a forum debate.

One option is to make your own group in Group Finder for Mythic 0 (no one is looking for heroic groups in Group Finder). Put in the notes that you’re a new tank. It may take some time to fill, especially at this point in the expac where there aren’t a lot of people new to Mechagon, but as a tank it should fill.

Thanks for everyone who replied. I actually went ahead and used the dungeon finder for the junkyard. It’s really a crapshoot but this group. Man, this was the best group I’ve run in since I came back. We wiped once once on the slime guy and twice or so on the aerial (man that is a PITA). No one rage quit, we just went back, got better each time.

Man, that was fun. If more groups were like that, I’d run tank non-stop

In mythic +10 a slow tank is going to get dps pulling for them.

the unofficial official place for that kind of stuff is Wowhead

Feel free to /w me anytime I might be on. id be glad to hop on my healer and run dungs with you. Im on Zangarmarsh

But what if we can’t count? Not so easy!

I never played dungeons outside of group finder before, so I had no idea how it works. If you are a starter player who is playing alone this game does not make any effort to try to make you be part of any kind of community… and the people are so damn rude. Like everyone treats you as a lesser being because god forbid you started to play the game later than them… like they just had this knowledge and they were not told by someone else… come on.

Go with guildies or friends, they will understand and let you learn at your own pace.
