What do Method and Limit players

Do for a living? Do they have jobs? I’m just curious.

Method does sponsors and I think Limit are like normal human beings.

Kinda erks me that the only people that can compete in this race must have sponsors or some magical source of income.

Good for method and all but there is only very few amount of guilds that can do that. There’s not much competition.

This is part of why I don’t even care about the big World First races. I can’t imagine being excited about watching someone else plough through content, brute force style. It feels like a generational thing to me. Maybe I’m too old to get into content consumption at that rate.

Not much different then watching sports teams go at it. Sure there aren’t many participating at that level, but it’s still neat to watch and see them problem solve the mechanics. Especially since they’re usually doing it 10ish ilvls below what most of the rest of us do it in.

Take a gander at Limit’s site, they have sponsors.

I do not see them chugging red bull blowing out their right aorta in London with hotels paid for by sponsors. The Limit GM was broadcasting his overview from what appeared to be an actual cave.

So that means what? Method has better sponsors and people who announce their stuff therefore…

EDIT: Oh also, Limit chose not to stream, their leader did a post thing, so how do you know what they did?

they sell merch too, and most of them are trying hard to build a twitch following. even 50k subs can be an income on there i hear

I wish I could play wow all day and not work… The Dreaaaaam!

right? would be the life!

I don’t see whats so complicated.

They took a week off from work. This isn’t a very new concept.

Method also is from Europe, where people typically have twice the amount of vacation days as people in the US.

Playing the game is part of their job

I’m sure some Method people stream. Maybe you could ask and depending on their mood and how you worded it you might get an honest answer. World race isn’t what it used to be though, some bosses took dozens or over 100 days to kill.

I doubt you’d get compensation details though, there’s no reason for them to divulge that.
