It was content. I loved that.
Most of this expansion I spent unlocking allied races and leveling allied races.
I didn’t really enjoy end game BFA content
what did i like about bfa? zandalar (loved the colours, dinos, music, etc), horde allied races (all of’em), and non-raid/current/colourful transmogs (bfd is the exception, love that one too). loved all that crap.
everything else this expansion sucked. i’m not gonna get too into my issues with it, but… rep-grinds/time-gates suck, kul’tiras is boring, alliance allied races suck (except darkirons/lightforged) and necklace/cloak i did’nt/don’t care about… also story. alliance did nothing, and horde was MoP 2.0.
This is something I don’t understand from activisionblizzard, they constantly try to balance the game around the 0.01% that are willing to grind hardcore and wait 10 minutes for a cd to try to push further than any normal person. I don’t see why they can’t allow people to play at their own pace even it some peoples pace is that of an Olympian.
Yeah…still trying to come up with something

I suppose that about covers it. Wish I could list more but it’s BfA.
The funny thing is that Horrific Visions provides the very thing that they are concerned about. If you want the bad-a** rewards, have those things be voluntary options at the beginning, like the Masks.
Oh I think the zones were really great. Nazmir is easily one of my new favorites of all time. Death is a part of life and it captures that idea so greatly.
I also liked the new mounts made available with BfA. The details on them have made a lot of the older models look their age!
Bwonsamdi is a cool new character.
I liked Jaina’s story on coming back home too.
Heritage armors.
All the voice acting was good!
Mostly that’s the list!
They finally de-chihuahuafied my face
I just came back after a break from 8.1 after I was underwhelmed by warfronts and island expeditions and I have to give it to the team it feels great to play right now. As soon as I logged in I started the Assault questline and within an hour was participating in Mass PVP in Uldum for hours with LFGroup randoms having a blast. It finally feels like a war! Expectations met!
I also really appreciated most of the quest line taking place in an area I can fly since I didnt do pathfinder considering I wasn’t playing most of this expansion.
Sometimes I wish they would just charge 50$ a month and not time gate us on all of the QoL and fun content. I would gladly pay more of a subscription so they would stop valuing “hours played” metrics so zealotously. “X.3” patches have felt way too much better than the rest of the content for the last few expansions just because of the time gating reductions.
The artwork I guess. I dislike pretty much all of the systems they put in or doubled down on. I vividly remember feeling weaker each time I leveled up and it was awful.
The story-line, WQs, Emissaries, Island Expeditions, the Azerite system - chuckles - Jaina Proudmoore & Azshara (Love 'em ), and… the whole thing!
BFA is one of my most fav expansions thus far. And I’ve been playing since Classic, I might add.
BfA is probably my second least favorite expansion, only in front of WoD, but I do think there were positives:
-The Allied races themselves are pretty good (even if a few are lacking), especially for how many we got.
-Zandalar and Kul Tiras storylines were pretty great (even with a few duds here and there)
-Art design was fantastic
-Music was fantastic
-Some very fun characters were introduced (Flynn Fairwind, Raal and Loti, Bwonsamdi)
-Battle of Dazar’alor was a great raid
-Voice acting improved quite a bit (seriously give whoever voiced Flynn a raise)
-Mechagon was a very fun zone
The best soundtracks in WoW are the ones that make use of a chorus And hearing the chanting of human sailors in this theme is just fantastic.
The mythic plate from BOD is pretty cool. There is that.
Mechagon is fantastic, and so was Nazjatar.
The Kelfin and the Mechagnomes are my two favourite new races. Wish we had more content with Neri & Friends, she was great.
I think the jetpacks in Mechagon island was a neat experience before getting pathfinder and Nazjatar felt absolutely awful to me on war mode, the entire experience was a super massive lagfest and was never addressed or fixed by blizzard. I find it super odd that the game played better back in the day on dial up than it does now 15 years later.
I think the plate was an alright transmog same with the leather set from BoD. I think most of the appearances of gear we got this expansion was absolutely trash. I can’t help but think that they did all the cost cutting possible to try and make the schedule of once every 2 years release a new expansion, and if they didn’t have that time limit that they could make a better expansion.
I personally would rather have long content droughts and reasons to play alts the entire expansion instead of being forced not to play alts by not allowing essences to be account bound and the other systems on top of systems approach of making alts unplayable by gating off end game content behind correct azerite traits and essences.
I hope WoW becomes fun to play in SL and they remove all e-sports tuning and hyper mega casual friendliness to allow normal people to enjoy the game again and quit nerfing everything so the ultra casual people can enjoy the game too.
I want WoW to be a great game and not try to make EVERYONE happy and force some people to actually play the game instead of whining that LFR is too hard.
