What Custom /yell, /say, or /e Macro Do You Use?

Sometimes a character is more than just a character, and if you’re like me and you get overly sentimental about fictional characters, you might even want them to exhibit certain personalities while in the thick of battle. Whether you’re an irate dwarf who makes a flatulence joke every time he thunder claps, a warlock who announces the availability of lock rocks like he was selling ice cream, or a blood elf who insults the fashion sense of her foe, custom macros have been used for creatively good (and evil) purposes.

So, if you’ve got one, care to share what it says and when you use it? Don’t worry, it’s your OC, so I totally won’t steal.

Promise.

Please don’t macro text to abilities that get used more than like once or twice a dungeon.

I’d say a mass rez would be fine in a dungeon context, but would quickly become obnoxious in a progression raiding environment. Thunderclap is a no go in 100% of environments. And Death Grip. Lock Rocks and Mage Food are both fine as they can be a once-twice per dungeon thing or once every handful of wipes in a raid.

its not a yell but my custom emote is

/em spanks %T So Naughty!

I get a lot of interesting comments

Well, you can as long as you assign them to different button slots.

E.g. press 3 to charge.
Press K to charge while screaming “LEEROY JENKIIINS!!!”

Spam 3, but use K sparingly.

My rogue, Nadstab, has an ambush macro that yells…

“Sneaky Nads!!!”

In homage to Sneaky Pete… The rogue-iest of rogues

Also, my gnome warrior has a bladestorm macro that yells

“GNOMESTORM!!”

I made a low lvl twink warr name Roarman who roared with every attack.

I have a few, but not tied to abilities.

/Ponders his place in the universe and his rightful inheritance.

When standing guard in a Battleground with nothing else to say.

I should make.

/Yell Worship me zeolot scum!

I use /say macros on my CDs, but a /yell macro is just asking for trouble.

what does it do?

I macroed to /yell the entire lyrics to Walking on Sunshine to my W key.

I don’t /yell.

I just stand there, staring with my big, beautiful, soulful cow eyes, silently judging “them.”

And “they” know who they are and what “they” did.

Only ever used them in raids. Like for the the cores in the Lady Vashj fight.

/y SELLING BLIZZARD HQ CARRIES… erm JOB APPLICATIONS!! GET YOUR [Gamemaster Hood] [Gamemaster’s Robe] [Gamemaster’s Slippers] and [The Twin Blades of Azzinoth] TODAY!! ONLY 2 JOB OPENINGS LEFT!! PST!

Always fun linking the gm-only outfit and weapon tooltip links in-game

The worst is those overly roleplayer people who macro /slap /fart /fist and stuff to every single ability >.<

Whenever my pally would bubble I would do “/y Light, grant me one final blessing!”
