What will be your covenant in Shadowlands?
I was leaning towards Necrolords, since you know, Unholy DK. Unfortunately it seems like the dk Necrolord ability is somewhat useless in pve content and not that great for pvp either.
And then theres Venthyr, while not my first choice of theme for dk, the ability seems to help mitigate a lot of the issues Unholy DK has when it comes to mobility and rune generation.
This is a harder choice then i was expecting
I main a healer so it’s a toss up between Kyrian and Night Fae as both look good for healing. Guess I’ll have to wait for release and play through to make the final decision.

I’m pretty sure Night Fae is going to be the only really viable covenant for HPriest, despite really really liking the angelic aesthetic of Kyrian.
I also have longed for the day that I get to transform into a big turtle boi

Except when you look at the synergy between the legendary powers, the soulbinds and the covenant abilities. I think too many people are just looking at the covenant abilities by themselves and not the overall picture of how everything works together.

Whatever is the best one for raiding.
Which is heavily leaning towards Venthyr.

venthyr, it’s got a lot of good stuff for doing content
Whichever is the best for raiding. And I will switch to whichever is the best for the last boss of each raid the closer we get to it.

Yeah that’s what I was looking at last night. I compared the Kyrian and NF conduits, soulbinds, and abilities. At the core of it, it mostly comes down to the bottom night fae ability that makes you cocoon for 10 seconds when you die. I feel like this is pretty much mandatory for M+ where we get one-shot by a swift breeze.
Also the NF covenant is much needed mobility, but I will admit I’m not sure how valuable it will be in the face of the new levitate conduit that increases Movespeed. I also think the Kyrian cov ability having a cast time is kinda dumb and I feel like it will make it feel really bad to cast.
EDIT: Also, the class ability for NF that reduces people’s CDs when you cast PoH is bonkers
Night Fae for the mog + theme.

I’m likely going Kyrian. I just hope that there will be some balance and I won’t feel like an idiot playing as a Kyrian Warrior.
Did you see the legendary ability for Hpriest where we turn into the angel when we die then auto rez /w mana and HP based on how much healing we did while in angel form?
Think of the CHOICE though.
You can either pick the good Covenant for raiding, and be worse in PvP or M+, or you can pick the M+/PvP covenant and get benched.
So meaningful.

Venthyr here. They have a Castlevania style zone which I love.

For my main, I will do whatever is best for my class/ spec for raiding. For my alts, I will do pick based on role-playing. I have enough alts to do all of them.
Yeah as someone that likes to raid, do M+, and am 2200+ in PVP…
I LOVE not being able to do 2/3 of the things I like to do as well anymore because choice

Yeah X’anshi is my favorite legendary. I’m not sure that I’ll use it in M+ (which is my main content) against Flash Concentration though. (because our tank healing is subpar to me)
I would like to join the birds with the Kyrians but if i’m still under contract with Bwonsamdi then I might go Night fae-- if the loa are involved with that covenant.
Still torn between the Venthyr and the Necrolords. Purely for RPG reasons, as I really don’t care much about the flavor abilities
Just level 4 Warlocks and gear them equally.
Duh.

? It actually seems quite useful for both PVE and PVP, want to cc mobs away from your tank so he can heal? Walk away and pull them with you. Interrupt a mob? Walk away. Attack a mage? He blinks and is pulled back.
