What Cov ability was most *fun*?

Not necessarily asking what covenant ability did the most DPS or made tanking or healing easiest. I just mean what ability did you have the most fun using. What ability felt the best to press to you? And how sad would you be if it didn’t carry forward as an option in Dragonflight?

For me, the only ability I truly love is Faeline Stomp. It looks great, it sounds great, you can use it often. If you’re good at positioning you can often use it more often than its cooldown. Maybe it’s not the best, but for me it’s the most fun.

After that, might be Divine Toll. As a paladin tank I just love slamming that many shields into dudes. Animation’s nothing to write home about, but it has a very satisfying sound. Always look forward to it being off cooldown.

Third, I’d say maybe Sinful Brand. It’s fairly boring, but the animation is nice and it’s not an overly long cooldown.

Honorable mention, Slappy Hands, Abomination Limb. It’s a lot of fun visually. But the cooldown feels a bit too long and the pull can sometimes be annoying. The cooldown and the pull also makes it feel like something to keep in reserve for special moments, which means I use it less than I should. But it is a fun button to press.

So, what were your favorites, and do you want them to carry over into Dragonflight?

Convoke. It’s already being brought to DF under Balance tree.

Soulshape. Lot of fun picking up the different shapes, and a lifesaver in raids to avoid some of the difficult mechanics. Will definitely miss it in Dragonflight.

The perfect move

Abomination Limb, though that ability just really showcased how badly the DPS specs need Gorefiend’s Grasp back lmao

Divine toll as prot paladin. Its the most absurd and broken thing ever. Even more broken than chi explosion and guard.

Imagine if the old version of arcane torrent also did some nice damage, gave you a small bubble based on that damage, also empowering your next main spender depending on which legendary you were wearing and then, because of more interactions, had a 35-40 second cooldown when cast on large packs.

Easily Convoke. It was an absolute blast originally and made even better with the legendary to give it a 1 min cool down. I’ve never had so much fun on my feral!

Condemn is just stupid fun on my fury warrior.

Slappy Hands has had me laughing and crying through out the expansion.
Watching people try to run away just to grip them back while doing insane DPS, especially the current patch, is just beautiful.
Carelessly using it and accidentally, say, pulling the slimes to the first boss in Plaguefall, well, still beautiful, in a messed up laugh it off kind of way.

Convoke or Divine toll, hated all the mage ones, found the Hunter ones boring and didn’t play any other classes so I can’t speak for others.

It’s in the Feral and Resto trees as well.

P.S. Divine Toll was fun, hopefully it gets into the paladin trees too.

Summon Steward. In the middle of a big fight it’s fun having a little owl following you around playing a horn.

For DH it was the hunt. I’m upset at the current covenant balance because i REALLY miss being night fae.

What was that? You don’t like your entire rotation being “DoT that’s 30% of your damage,” “ability that keeps DoT that’s 30% of your damage up 100% of the time,” and “ability that lowers the CD of ability that keeps DoT that’s 30% of your damage up 100% of the time?” How dare you!

Door of Shadows,

Got me out of some tough spots, hopefully it will carry over in DF.

I like your guild name.

Thanks! I like your character name!

We used to be called Syzygy (singular) prior to mid-SoD.

Slappy hands is awesome and I’m happy it’ll be there in DF.

I feel all the monk ones were not memorable and I won’t miss any if they aren’t included in DF.

I’m going to feel completely naked, if Divine Toll goes away.
