There honestly would have been a lot less complaining if the entire expansion had just stayed a faction War, and the final raid boss was the opposite of factions current leader. They wouldn’t actually be killed at the end of the raid just defeated
So the alliance and horde raid would have been different. It would have been just an ok story but people would have been happier with that story than what we got.
Then the next expansion could have been centered around N’zoth. He should have got his own expansion.
This expansion played out like the first part of it had one group of writers and they were all fired in the middle of the expansion. Then they hired a whole new writer teams wanted to go in a completely different direction
Testing Azerite armor longer than a week or two before launch, which resulted in essences and other systems being implemented to fix their f up which then brought their own balancing problems and grinds that added more best in slots that people had to grind for. If they wanted corruption to be good it should be purchasable with some kind of currency, not left up to RNG to dictate the type and tier of corruption you get.

Certainly would have rung true to the name and picture if they did that.

a new dev team instead of the current ones that keep adding Diablo design ideas to WoW would be a start

If they would have made it a continuation of Legion instead of trying to scrap and cancel everything. We still could have had our artifact weapons this expac as all of the player base had spent months just leveling them up… and now that is gone. Now we have to level our gear up instead which is no where near as rewarding. No cool perks like our artifact weapons had.
No Hati, no artifact stuff this expac. Things were looking up after Legion.
Would have made a lot more sense too.
I have never once picked up a book started reading it and then in the middle of the book it turns into a completely different book centered around different characters to. The writing to this expansion was just bad in general

What could have made BfA better? Pre ActiBlizz Blizzard could have.

There isn’t really much that could have made BfA better as the core of my issues with BfA started in Legion.
Sethrak being part of the Alliance story and becoming an Alliance AR and some sort of real meaningful retribution for Teldrassil and a better NELF story altogether…

I agree that Blizzard should have committed fully to the faction war. I didn’t dislike anything in particular, but I have no catharsis after BFA’s ending.

Doesn’t like grinding for essences or azerite
Then says corruption should be grinded out.
LOL this playerbase. No way to make them happy.
But BC ending with sunwell instead of Illidan or Wrath ending with Ruby (worst raid ever) or Mop and SoO for a year… those were ok?
I think corruption fing sucks I don’t like the rng attached to everything that’s related to it, its unrewarding having to resort to using a piece of gear with much lower stats and ilvl because of the corruption attached to it. Grinding for maybe one system isn’t that bad but never ending grinds that are unsatisfying or not very fun, i.e. neck level and essences, leaves a lot to be desired. Adding more and more grinding because they can’t get gearing systems right isn’t very fun to me or a lot of the fan base.
I fully agree that could have completely help the alliance situation out instead of leaving people with many reasons to faction change and then offering a 30% off sale on the service.
What they did has made the alliance situation worse than it has ever been.
The Night Elves getting their revenge instead of just killing 1 of Sylvanas’ recreatable Val’kyr, forgiving the Horde and then getting ignored afterwards

Why should sethrak be part of alliance and not horde?
Probably. I would have been happier if i didn’t have a leader that is a total cuck soyboi. It would have been nice if something actually happened to the Horde when they genocide other races and i didn’t have to put up with the garbage of another leader just rushing for peace and singing kumbaya around a campfire.
It would be nice if i didn’t have to help the Horde out…AGAIN while they are busy murdering my faction. It would have been nice if i didn’t have to watch the Horde movie and actually had some character development other then peace peace peace. It would be nice if Anduin hadn’t refused to help his staunchest ally instead of has new BFF Saurfang and let him use daddies sword. Anduin had the NERVE to try to compare Alliance “atrocities” from decades ago to the Horde’s now 2 wars and destruction and genocide and at least i was happy when Saurfang slapped him in the face for his stupidity but honestly EVERYONE SHOULD have taken turns slapping his stupidity. And then he just lets the Horde off after Sylvanas left, what a load of garbage.
I mean from the Alliance perspective the Jaina story was nice and it was good but from an expansion standpoint…we stood around picking our noses and helped the Horde who ONCE AGAIN did everything while our leadership was completely worthless.
We got both nightborne and vulpera. We also have every major raiding Guild in WoW.
Let alliance have the Sethrak.
Lore Wise It’s because the Sethrak would never align themselves with a faction that has vulpera
What could have made BfA story better ?
Worgen get back Gilneas to Genn stop being such a PITA, and go back to his land.
