What class/spec is your MAIN and why?

I’m curious why people stick with their choices for so long and I’m also looking for perspective.

I have no idea, I am not really a main player. I guess my most geared/score is my aug by a lot but I like playing my resto druid the most (zdps build, I hate catweaving)

I think a lot of people main resto druid and playing it this week for fun I definitely see why

I mained Resto Druid in MoP because I love the spec and because Druid is very versatile. I blinked and here I am, still a Druid main in DF.

My main has been a guardian/resto druid since dual spec came out back in Wrath because I love tanking/ healing, and stealthing (but hate dps).

Current main is a druid unsure if it will stay main for new xpack

Uhhh… I’m sensing a theme here.

Once you go Druid, you never go back (most of the time).

I actually did have a druid during S1 of DF. I intended to play Feral for PVP but I ended up really liking guardian tanking and resto healing in M+ and PVP. Not sure why I stopped playing it… I think the idea of shifting is cool to me but I couldn’t make it feel not clunky with swapping keybinds and stuff.

The way I enjoy resto druid will not be recommended on the druid discord, I basically never swap out of human form. I setup bear form as an on-demand defensive and the buttons on my bear form bar are all heals (in the same spot) which just take me out of bear form. Yes I do really low dps but it is so fun!

4 specs, 4 forms depending on whether you take Moonkin form…yeah, I can see that happening.

Wasn’t happy with Fury last season, was even less happy with the spec the stupid tier set locks us into this season. And I was a paladin main from TBC through MoP, so may as well go back to my roots.

I mained Warlock since Wrath and played all specs but mostly focused on Affliction during and after Legion. Went from druid, to hunter, to DK, to warlock and likely the main reason was because I saw an undead warlock in T8.5 and it looked cool so I just had to go for it and I remained a warlock because I was decent at it, had a raid spot, and was the main warlock for portals/healthstones all the way until MoP when I got pulled into a different team that had another warlock, who we just vibed off eachother.

Though when Dragonflight was coming around, I swapped to Devastation Evoker and pretty much never went back. Why? It’s fun, it’s simple, it has good defensive cooldowns, utility, and mobility with a low-APM rotation that just works at blasting damage so I could easily pay attention to mechanics and what everyone else was doing without using add-ons or having damage output suffer. I attempted Augmentation when it was released and aside from some very cheesy things (Double-Aug 2v2 Arena) was very disappointed in underperforming pug DPS (As expected with the nature of Aug’s design) so haven’t even bothered touching it since. Though besides all that, I also just like how the Dracthyr look.

Holy Paladin. Swapped from Resto Shaman and I love it. It’s a very interesting spec and playstyle. Still looking for which DPS to alt-main. I loved SL Enh but it’s not as good in DF. Im actually considering jumping on this toon again.

Enhance Shaman for the past 19 years. Because its fun, a bit simple at times, difficult at others. I can also solo a lot of content.

Just wish they were still tanks.

Shaman, Enhancement.

I’m not really sure why I love the class so much, it’s just something about the combination of healing, ranged and melee damage capabilities that I just enjoy… the graphics don’t hurt either.

Enhancement has always been something I enjoyed, I was always more of the type to hit the target with a mace/axe then I was the kind to stand back and just cast spells all day long, though it depended on the fight really. The more recent version of Enhancement really exemplifies how I used to play in the old days prior to cata.

Still it would be nice if we were more durable… I really wish Shaman had a tank spec.

Started in Wrath with an SV/BM hunter. As xpacs happened, that morphed into BM/MM. Hunter. Hunter because seemed to have more utility. Curiously, in Classic Wow it’s been an Arms/Fury warrior because vanilla melee is a hoot.

I mained Druid for a very long time. I enjoy just how much privilege it was to be a Druid. Great passive movement speed, stealth, rebirth, strong party buff (df), easy to use defensive, can’t be rooted, can interact with a billion things in flight form making questing trivial.
Despite all these perks I couldn’t find myself resonating with the DPS specs of it.

Lately as of last few months Monk has caught my attention instead. It’s very fast and can be any race. All three of its specs are fun.

Fury warrior this expansion, it’s been very fun for me. I swap to prot to solo rares and elite zones in the open world. Trying to keep up on my monk, because Brewmaster is fun to me too. However, on my paladin and alternate monk, I have been having fun healing.

But mostly maining my warrior, got all the quests and achievements done on him.
