They are way too stong. What class or spec in your experience is best for taking them out?

Bob is right. MM is most comfortable WAY in the back, behind its healers, free casting away.
Specs that have killed me the mosts are likely, DKs gripping me into the melee/cc soup that is in the middle of the two teams, rogues and feral if they are good at their spec as they can be invisable and has reset potential with good CCs, and the occasional good warrior. Bladstorming through my traps and using all their instant mobility to stick like glue to my back.
The easiest specs for MM to kill want to sit still and cast but don’t have MM range. Priests and Locks most notably, and Ret imo. Tranquilizing Shot removes BoP and is instant cast, MM has WAY more CC than Ret, Ret has no MS, and no instant mobility, and a Ret may need to wade through the melee/CC grinder to reach the MM.
What about Survival Hunters?
I don’t know if I’ve fought one(survival) since dragon flight. But at the time they had surprisingly high burst and survivability compared to my paladin, at the time when it had just gotten a large hot fix nerf AND more nerfs every week for 5 weeks straight.
Anything that can close the gap quickly and stick to them like glue.

I would say yes, they both have great crowd control, and that would be the deciding factor. How well does the markmanship hunter crowd control the melee player and regain distance to pump more damage would decide who would win in that 1vs1.
I have trouble with Rogues and Boomies, and at times Affy locks.
I have a much easier time vs them on my rogue than my DK but even then you still have to execute flawlessly to keep yhe gap closed.
SV counters them pretty hard, especially if you’re NE.
100%. I have never lost 1v1 vs a MM if I have my cds. Sitting nodes it’s easy to kill them.
Rapid Fire? Feign.
Rapid Fire? Intimidation.
Rapid Fire? Scatter. (or Binding + Bursting/Explosive)
Rapid Fire? Meld.
Aim Shot? Disarm.
Aim Shot? Turtle.
Meanwhile all your dot damage is ticking and you have completely muted any damage the MM can do.
SV doesn’t counter anything else though. Ha. ha… (only slightly kidding)
