Hey everyone, I am just wondering which classes will be the Hunter, and warlock of tbc? What will be the class kind of left behind?
Wrath has much more balancing, or at least most specs/calsses will be viable. Different phases will have different top dps. Ret pally, fury war, unholy DK, boomkin, fire mage, affliction lock, BM hunter, and others will all see high dps marks.
Generally classic wrath has some of the most balanced pve and pvp racials and all specs can do good dps. The only exceptions are obvious pvp specs like arms warrior, frost mage, destruction lock, multispec paladin, and solubility rogue. Yeah bringing a pvp spec to a pve raid will probably annoy some people.
Healers get shafted in wrath. Content is easy. Competent guilds will never need more than 3-4 healers on their roster. Even for heroic raids. Especially with dual spec being available most guilds only need like 3 main healers, and then have 2 off spec healers for the harder fights.
Everything I’ve read and watched points to PvE class tiers changing with each raid tier, for the most part. The video below seems to be a thoughtful breakdown, and might help you.
Skip to the end for a tier by tier chart breakdown of each DPS spec if you want to know at a glance. Maybe someone knowledgeable here can vouch for the accuracy, as it’s just one source:
Okay so no one really answered your question so I will try
If I can remember, from 10-13 years ago, There was alot of DK’s because it was the new class, how many of them raided I do not know. Also lots of paladins… so if i had to give you a list from most class to least for wrath, and this is going off memory also i played on a Pve server so my list might be different then others, also I played alliance and not many people played shaman 10-13 years ago
Most played class in general
- Hunter and they will all be camping the wolf in the snowy zone forget name, same zone with timelose drake
- Mage
- Paladin.
- DK, because it was a new class almost everyone had one just to have it.
- Druid / shaman / warlock, I cant remember i know these 3 classes was rare.
- Warriors, I personally didnt see many warriors. the guild i was in used paladin / druid for tank.
I call sus on this. I never had a problem topping meters as destro back in original WotLK. It might not be the super uber formulated min max sweaty top spreadsheet dps ever spec that seems to be the only thing people care about now but it was more than capable in PvE throughout the whole expansion.
yeah this 100% incorrect
Pally best tank and healer and best dps in icc. Expect pallys to be most played by long shot followed by DK. It was like this in Wrath and has been for 10yrs on private servers, wont change in classic
Are you Far King Blaind? Does this look like the wotlk forums to you?
Marks and survival over BM
Dont think the lightning wolf didnt come out until later. The cat in grizzly hills will be camped. Lok
Yes.
Nobody is going to be camping Exotic Beasts, they are BM exclusive and you play Surv or MM in PvE. They aren’t good in PvP either. Any regular Wolf in the World will be better.
Skoll (the lightning wolf) was in the game with patch 3.2 so unclear if Blizz will have it in at release. He’ll be a rare spawn in Storm Peaks.
Loque’nahak, the cat I believe you’re referring to, spawns in Sholazar Basin. But yes he too will be camped (and will be the catalyst for many tears since he is part of the Northern Exposure achievement).
Absolutely.
And yes MM and Survival tend to perform better in pve. Yet not everyone is going to be playing by the meta. There will still be many BM hunters.
Amusing to me factoid: when gnomes could be hunters, I tamed Arcturis, the spirit bear in Grizzly Hills. All my pets had mechanical or “gizmo” names. That bear, due to his bared teeth was happily renamed Bluetooth. Arcturis should be available at launch if people are interested.
Anyways you’re wrong, BM hunters would be using a Devilsaur instead of useless Spirit Beasts, they are one of the worst pets in the game.
Lots of BM hunters, as they are not concerned about the meta, are collectors and will be going for those pets.
There won’t be lots of BM hunters just like there are 0 MM hunters in TBC Logs but if that helps you sleep at night, sure bud!
I’m sorry you are having difficulty fathoming that people don’t play meta or all raid.
Those people are players too.
It doesn’t bother me how they choose to play as long as they are having fun that’s what’s important.
Yes, that’s why I see thousands of offmeta MM hunters in the world hunting pets, how beautiful. It’s okay to be wrong, you got called on ur bs and now you’re trying to cope. Maybe next time don’t try to comment on things you know nothing about.
