Death Knights and Paladins. I mean, when you can either control the undead or smite them entirely, a zombie apocalypse would kinda be trivial.

Human Paladin.
Any other race, like Draenei, would cause an uproar about aliens landing on top of the zombie invasion.

Unholy DK, Worgen or Orc realistically. Strong and fast races.

my blood elf wouldn’t though, probably think it’s a smartass idea to taunt like 15 zombies then get himself killed…
Probably any alliance paladin race would have the required wits for such a task.
What spec tho? ret or tanky?
oh snap what about holy? purge disease might work on the zombie plague.

It depends what you mean, really?
A rogue could just stealth and steal supplies as needed.
A paladin or priest could turn-undead or fairly easily kill them all.
A Death Knight could conceptually control or dominate them too…
A druid could turn into an owl and fly to a great tree and live happily thereafter in its boughs.
Lots of classes would be fine.

hunter obv. hide in the forest. build a cabin. save some chick from the zombies. bring her back to cabin. re populate the world. race = saved you can thank me later

Warriors would make up most of the resistance
they are delicious to earth zombies. makes them a super zombie.
Void Elf hunter, why? Teleportation and portals, Barrage, tame undead, and a boatload of other stuff… alternatively I could go Paladin/Priest and be the “I am Legend” Will Smith of Zombie apoc earth curing every zombie I meet.
I’d go with Druid for class, preferably pre-split Feral, so I could get both cat and bear at their best, but I’d go Guardian if that’s not an option, for the survivability. I pick druid because they have stealth to sneak around zombies with Prowl, mobility to outrun them with Travel and Cat forms, can stay out of reach with Flight form, and if they’re magical zombies, rather than disease ones, Remove Corruption can save people from turning.
For race, it would either be worgen, if their lore about not being able to be raised as undead is in play, or Tauren, since War stomp would allow for easier escapes from mobs of zombies.

i made the rule.
sorrz bud. to make this fun i cant have everyone chosing forsaken/deathknight because zombos wouldnt attack them.
so in this scenerio where you can be a class/race/spec from a game in the real world with a zombie apocolypse. picking that combo which is overpwoered without the second stipulation wouldnt be fun to think about.
