have not played HC, haven’t played classic or vanilla i started WoW mainly when in Cata. so will be my first run through. i played classic when it launched on day 1 but got to level 30ish before quitting.
i will be going alliance probably. not entirely sure what to play though.
my options is mage, hunter, lock.
Mage - dislike constant drinking
Hunter- seems like the easy way but i hate certain quests when i have to go into melee range and it’s tight af.
Lock- i have little to no references to go off of in classic or retail.
main goal is to get into HC raiding and clear every raid at least once for the experience and dungeons. i don’t mind buying arrows, collecting soul stones, etc… but main reason i did quit my mage when i started in classic long ago was the constant drinking and going oom. i am still open to the mage though mained it in retail for 6-7 years i enjoy the playstyle but im sure it’s different in classic.
do mage, I’m doing one now and it’s super fun. every class has to eat/drink a lot

Undead warlock is probably the easiest of those listed.
Cannibalize is bis.

Yeah all classes have to stop after 1-2 pulls, so you’re gonna be drinking/eating a lot.
I play mostly melee because I hate managing mana. I had so much fun leveling my druid through classic.
Out of your three choices I’d probably do hunter because I’m not big on casters and the pets are fun to collect.
Locks are crazy strong though.
yea i think i m probably gonna try the lock. i mean eventually if i die i will rotate between the 3 and then maybe see if i want to try something else out. just if i get super lucky and don’t die pre 60.
i doubt it though especially since i have no knowledge of classic WoW.
Not locks.
OP - go aff and pull all day.
I get you might want Alliance and that’s cool. Canni just makes it even more smooth.
i been playing Horde in retail for a long time so want to try something a little more fresh i guess. idk how the raiding scene in horde side is since the HC guide vid is outdated
dude, i didn’t want to tell you this but, we HC players kinda look down on those who play pet classes

i already know because you guys say it’s the “easy way out” not really like a HC hardcore player i just playing to have fun and enjoy HC i mean lots of people on boards with other classes.
either way i ended up dying at level 6 XD went afk to make milk for my daughter and died to a damn wolf. time to try another class off to the mage i guess for now

LOL but you’re playing mage the easiest class in classic in terms of survavility and gold farming.
also no one cares how elitist looks to pet classes. You’re pretty disgusting with that comment. But you 100% represent the elitist side of HC community.
bad pull with a warlock and you’re 100% dead, bad pull with a mage and you’re safe AF.

yea i’ve been seeing a lot of people die like myself either just afking and pat attacks or in caves. so many low levels.
HC players looking down on others? Shocked!

I wouldnt worry all that much about what people who instantly try to find any reason to appeal their death thinks about a pet class.
Go warlock.
Please note I am horrendously biased.
You say that, and yet in the several weeks I’ve been running the addon, Warlocks have the lowest average level of death out of all the classes. Currently 11.9 next lowest is Warrior at 13.
try hitting level 30 first… it takes a few tries. my record is 28. in 11 attempts.
LOL
The epitome of elitism and entitlement. The so called “hardcore” can’t get their own isolated bubble soon enough.

I can’t. Oh man I need to walk away from this one
Druid never has to eat or drink if they pull 1 mob at a time, go animal farm and kill mobs until you are half HP then leave form to heal and go back into form, super easy. Warlock hardly ever needs to either if you play efficiently.
You need to look at spells and see how much damage they do compared to the mana cost. Some classes have emergency type spells that cost too much mana. mages for example can be pretty efficient damage to mana ratio even single target if they stick to their simpler spells. Then with some classes (but maybe not mage) spirit can play a huge role in cutting down on your eating/drinking time.
Figuring out how to play efficiently is probably the most interesting part of leveling up, a lot of classes can push it so you only need a stack of food to finish off a zones quests and some need less. Just keep in mind mana efficient of spells, and the 5 second rule (you gain full mana regen when you havent cast a spell for 5 seconds).
the captain had a spell-reflect.
