What class should I level boost?

My main is this protection Paladin, and regardless of what I boost, I still plan to level one of everything eventually, but I would like a third high level character right away to help try to get things from old raids, and just have a different style.

I’m thinking about a healer. Because I have a Tank and a DPS Evoker.

What’s the simplest healer to play?

Please don’t boost a healer. We have enough bad healers in this game who don’t know how to heal.

Boosts are for classes/specs you already know how to play.

Leveling is for what you want to learn.

Boosts are whatever someone wants. This game isn’t rocket science.

As long as they don’t whine when they get kicked from groups.

Going from a dps/tank to a healer is a bigger change

Mouse over healing for example is the only truly effective way to heal, you don’t do that with other roles.

Best to start at a low level with a few spells and learn as you add more and more spells. If you just jump into a healer with all the spells you wont have a clue, no matter what healer you pick. It’s why it doesn’t even let you boost a class as a healer spec.

I use clique for all sorts of stuff and I’m a dps, just sayin.

Healing low end content is borderline relaxing, wym? If someone wants to learn healing why stop them?

Thanks, im definitely boosting a healer!

Yes and no. Healing, if you have the attitude for it, is easier imo.

I don’t think we should be gatekeeping, tbh. I leveled my disc priest “because I wanted to learn” and do you know the amount of things I learned in leveling dungeons? Basically nothing. Zerg to the boss, no one dies anyways, I can’t do a ramp because everything is dead so no go on that.

I didn’t get to actually flesh out any of the meat disc has until 70 and low keys and that was only because I purposefully invited people who would actually need me to heal them.

There are plenty of addons to assist in healing and none of them are really hard to configure. Healing requires a bit more knowledge but if you’ve already been doing the dungeons it’s most of the things you already know, and addons will alert you to things like dispels and cleanses. The only way to learn it is to do content that requires you to use the tools. Certainly don’t jump right into a 16 and give it a go but 60-70 is enough time to get familiar enough to do a +2 and go from there.

To answer this though, I’d vote for shaman or evoker. Evoker has a great tool kit and is by far the one I have the easiest time healing PUGS on. I don’t like holy, and disc isn’t totally new healer friendly if you’re just trying to see if you like healing.

druid - can tank/dps/heal and get around quickly , its what i use most of the time if i fancy doing old content.

Just pickup a healing spec on your Evoker and learn the rotation/priority for healing in low level dungeons. No boost necessary.

I’ve only played holy priest (dabbled in discipline) and I think its fairly easy as an alternativeto evoker. I’ve never used a healing addon, but many of the healers I know swear by Healbot, so maybe worth looking into.

I don’t like the idea of switching specializations around on my characters, it’s just one more thing to remember later. I’d rather have a character dedicated to a specific role so whatever I’m in the mood for, or whatever is needed if I ever get to raiding I can just log in on that.

I realize it’s a lot more work leveling and gearing, but it’s just time, and I’ll use what I have left the way I want to.

Other than that, thank you for the suggestion. Though it means I have conflicting opinions on the Priest now… I’ll have to look up some things.
