Which class do you think best represents the heritage set gnomes get?
Rogue I’d say.
I agree rogue. Bonus points you can make it look like a DH if you ever get bored.
I’d say Warrior. Just add one of the various wrench transmogs, and take Engineering for the full Gnomish effect.
Hunter can pull it off well, especially with some of the weapons from Mechagon.
Warrior hands down. if you don’t think rage fueled murder machine when you look at a gnome your wrong
Surprisingly enough, my sole Gnome toon is a Warlock, because I found the idea of a 3-4ft Gnome commanding an 11+ft demon hilarious as all hell.
I was thinking of going Warrior for Mechagnome, that or Hunter.
Mage-engineer combo. Use simple looking or mechanical looking staffs.
That set is only a temp. Their permanent football one is on the way.
If your thinking of a Gnome warrior I highly suggest going female. Just something about that squeaky ball of fury that makes me smile like a madman.

Make sure to go Marks with a gun and a mechanical pet!
Well, I find it fitting that my Gnome hunter, which uses robot pets, wears a clockwork heritage set. That’s my vote.
Looks great with the Legion Bow imo, and that what I’m using.
Ah, a bow Gnome!
Though I must admit, bow form Titanstrike does look perfect on you.
Lorewise Mage fits them best, followed by Hunter (specifically marksman).
They’re brainy and don’t rely on brawn, so magic and firearms are right up their alley.
They can be warlocks and priests, but generally the Gnomes are too chill for Warlock and I’m pretty sure I read somewhere that, unlike most races, they don’t stigmatize the warlocks, but they also can read whatever the warlocks are up to and tell them if they’re being stupid.
“You want to use a fel crystal to increase the coefficient of transfer? Are you trying to set yourself on fire or something? That’s not going to work.” Really take the wind out of the sails of any Gnome trying to go too crazy. Not that that stops Blizz from adding several really dumb egomaniac gnomes because of course, lore comes second to comic effect for Gnomes’ writing.
Priests the Gnomes will use, but they use light and shadow as tools, they’re pretty much the only “atheist” race in the game, they know beings of power exist, and so do forces, but that’s where the buck stops for them. Not many will praise the Light.
Rogues, well, Gnomeregan does have one of the most notable groups of Rogues in the game, the GCO, so that’s a fine choice.
Monks, Warriors and Death Knights don’t fit particularly well, but there’s something to be said for the fun of punching an 8 foot minotaur to death with someone who looks like they might lose a fight to a 4th grader or tanking blows from colossi who are 6 times bigger to you relative to everyone else.
Yup, that’s one of them. The one from the Warlock starting quests in Legion and the infamous Milhouse Manastorm are the other two I can recall. Manastorm isn’t a Warlock but it’s the same MO.
Still by that logic wouldn’t Gnome Warlocks be the best because they wouldn’t let the power corruption get to them?
They can be, but Warlock still tends to rely more on bargaining, sacrefice and raw power than careful study, understanding and practical application of theory like mage does.
And Gnomes’ being so fond of engineering means they tend to use a lot of firearms. Even in the very first room for a new Gnome. So they’re in too.
Hm, well thank you for your input. I have a lot to think about.
EDIT: We really need a Tinker class for Gnomes and Goblins. Bring in the Mech suits.
