What class for a high-elf?

Death Knight.

I will impale you on a hook sword. I assure you, it is a difficult feat, and painful.

wait, what part of being a death-knight on the alliance would make them a traitor? from their point of view the horde are evil, they’ve got more undead than the alliance, including the plague, abominations, etc. plus, the silver-covenant exists so… high-elves are still on the alliance.

If you’re a high elf that died in the name of Silvermoon, and was brought back as a Death knight, it makes no sense for you to then join the Alliance and become an enemy of Silvermoon. If you died trying to save your people, you wouldn’t immediately turn around and try to kill them after.
Hence my point about Koltiras. He is a high elf, and joined his people as a blood elf.

Let alone if they see the Horde as evil because of undead, then, they would just go and walk into some fire because a Death knight is a type of undead.
It makes no sense for a high elf to be a DK chronologically, or thematically.
Death knights are also all about sacrifice, they would not turn against their own people in a faction war. Its why the Ebon blade is completely absent for the faction wars. They don’t involve themselves in it.

Ironically, to a Death knight, life is precious.

for the new generation of DKs high elf DK makes perfect sense.
We know they participated at least a tiny bit in the 4th war. We know those raised as DKs by Bolvar were those who died in the 4th war.

So lorewise a high elf DK makes sense.

When?
I don’t recall seeing any involved in the war. Just the voidy bois.

Mage or hunter (ranger) are the two that come to mind quickest. Maybe warrior as well.

there were some NPCs scattered about and they could join you on island expeditions

Paladin

Hrm, I honestly don’t remember them, but I’ll take your word for it.

This is why Demon HUnters took your meta form.

Couldn’t care less for such uncivilized combat technique. I send my disposable minions while I do my nails like the beautiful queen I am. :nail_care:t2:

This does not exist. all purple blood elves are just silvermoon blood elves.
You can use any theme that a blood elf can use, except a paladin.

Purple blood elves cannot be paladins. No Holy Light for you

Post on the RP forums to be taken more seriously if you’re basing your choices on an RP perspective, you’ll likely get far more help.
If this isn’t bait, that is.

I would start by deciding what play style you prefer and go from there. There are a lot of different pieces of lore to draw upon.

Maybe the character was part of or heard stories of the rangers from the second war and so they became a MM hunter.

Maybe your character studied at Dalaran and was away when Archimonde destroyed it. So they are a mage of some sort?

Ideas are limitless really.

Calculus.

If you’re going for RP purposes, they seem to fit either mage or hunter pretty well.

This is going to be my “high elf” in SL. I’ve always been partial to Hunters so that gets my vote.

(I’m not changing her race, just her eyes.)

So, you’re justifying the attitude of certain people here while comparing it with a childish attitude at the same time…?

Basically Mage and Hunter. Those are the iconic High Elf classes. You could also roll a Monk and roleplay it as if your elf had to meditate and use the Chi to satiate their mana withdrawal when the Sunwell was destroyed. :hugs:

You’ll be playing a High Elf regardless of what class you pick, since these new customization options are supposed to represent just that–being a playable High Elf.

But to play along, I’d say the most thematically appropriate classes for Alliance-y cultured High ELves would be: Warrior, Monk, Mage, Priest, Hunter and Rogue.
