Personally I think Warlock or Rogue is the best thematic fit for a Goblin character.
They are both classes that don’t play by the rules of society (more accepted now, but…) and I feel like that fits my perception of a Goblin’s mentality pretty well. Still fighting the bad guys but willing to do whatever it takes to have the power to do so.
What about you?
Edit: Not sure how I put mage in there. Rogue. I meant rogue.
For me Warrior just doesn’t fit for the little races. I mean it’s fun and silly but just doesn’t make sense for me.
I can see why people like the mini-bruiser kind of character but isn’t my thing. Feels like they could be picked up by their ears and rendered useless.
Warlock, because of this whole goblin thing of 'Making deals with demons
Warrior, because of the ‘bruisers’ you see in every goblin city. Goblin Warriors are stronger than you think, lorewise. Even the legendary orc Broxigar said that Goblins are much stronger than their size would indicate.
Hunter At least MM hunter with a gun xmog. Not so much on gameplay wise, but it’s the closest to the ‘goblin tinker’ fantasy.
Rogue There are several goblin assassins, spies (including one of Mathias Shaw’s partners is a goblin), and infiltrators. But I would say that the Outlaw spec (Pirate) would be the main one for Rogues, because of Booty Bay, and there are many goblin pirates out there.
Yeah I feel that. Goblin is the last race I need to level up to get Heritage on and I have no idea what to make one as. I have a Warrior and Hunter made but not really feeling them…
I think I could feel hunter as a physical class. Relying on pets and ranged weapons as opposed to their own brute strength. Rogue works as well as a hit-and-run kind of theme. At least better to me than Warrior I suppose.
Or you can RP a goblin priest who sells their blessings and demands tithes from others. (And if someone refuses to donate, they will receive threats of getting a Shadow Word: Pain to the face.)
A lot of people also tend to assume goblins are smaller than they actually are. IIRC, goblins are a smidge closer in height to dwarves than they are to gnomes.
