What class do you main, in Classic, and why?

I mained hunter, warrior in Vanilla and enhance shaman, priest in TBC (and mage from then on for 10+ years). My only alt was always this one warlock. I loved the old warlock play style and class fantasy but never made it my main due to huge investments I already made to others. With Classic, I finally have a warlock main.

Pros:

  • One of the best at leveling. Can solo a lot of group quests as long as I can fear it. Also free level 40 mount.
  • Use a single spec for all aspects of the game. Though others may be slightly superior at one particular aspect. SM/Ruin (with 5/5 Fel Conc) is good at everything in endgame contents: grinding, raiding, and PvP.
  • Great at farming gold. Mara runs net around ~30-40 gold per hour. Raw gold farming is good due to over supply on my server’s AH making most things cheap to buy.
  • Overall desirable (usually want 4) for raid due to warlock’s utilities like curses, cookies, summoning, soulstone, etc… Mid pack DPS but has insane scaling (will be top tier along with fire mages/fury wars come AQ40/Nax)
  • One of the best 1v1 class in the game and doesn’t need to grind ranks for gears as T2 works just as well in PvP.
  • Great looking tier sets.

Cons:

  • Lack mobility and emergency escape.
  • Lost a bag slot for soul shards.
  • High and spiky threat. Hard to control.

I really wanted to level a warlock, because of their self heals and fear, but the hunters aspect of the cheeta speed boost was the deal breaker for me…

Knowing me, though, I’ll most likely be leveling a warlock and hunter side by side in a week or two.

I can’t not level alts.

I have a serious problem.

I rolled warrior because it was my first roll on vanilla and my only 60. I wanted to see if I had gotten better at tanking since then and only marginally so even with all the stuff I know now. (Never played on private servers tho.)

It has been amazing seeing all the content I missed and actually getting into some of the first raids on my server was an awesome experience I can’t wait to see how PvP turns out.

Tank Druid in classic. Druids are my favorite fantasy class in all games. I’ve played a Druid back in vanilla due to its shape shifting mechanics and never looked back. Played feral Druid exclusively all the way up to BFA. I dabbled in boomkin once during the times of Kara but majorly stuck to feral; I then switched to boomy in bfa and have been loving it. This time, I’m tanking though as bears are my favorite animal and it was about time I played a bear. Plus it’s nice to sway from dps and play a different role (not healing though… I can’t solely heal. Doesn’t suit me).

I’ve been a Druid and only a Druid my entire wow life and will always continue to be so. I’ve even started leveling an alt Druid that will be a boomkin called Owlbeast
I just can’t get over their self sufficiency. Pvp is incredibly important to me as it’s usually my main focus and the ability to 1v1 successfully is mandatory. Hybrids just suit my play style and I’ll gladly be a tier 2 in 4 roles to be able to do all 4. Bonus…tanking is actually tier 1 so no draw backs

prot paladin.

I firmly believe that struggling to make meme specs work is more fun than playing the meta specs.

Mage.
Played a mage in classic and BC.

Druid, because I played a heavily pvp focused hunter in vanilla. Constantly dueling out front of IF between bgs, my fondest memories are dueling this one particular high ranked druid and we had the MOST FUN duels ever… he was VERY highly skilled and it was awesome to watch.

When classic came around, I wanted the ability to outplay people, which meant either hunter again or… druid! Fearbombing 2v1s to me isn’t outplaying, but using a full toolkit to come on top as the severe underdog… well, that just can’t be beat!

Mage. Was between mage and priest. I’ve played everything else
