All the sourpusses that only play endgame, have a cookie and leave please.
This thread is for us weirdos who like leveling toons and playing old content and so on.
Someone said leveling in SL was the worst thing ever and would rather have their teeth pulled without anesthetic;
So, Iām going to level a toon in SL.
I enjoy a lot of classes though so Iād like to hear which classes you lately enjoyed leveling.
My latest was Pestilence the Unholy DK.
Considering doing Riot the Surv. Hunter for this.
Hunter as BM.
Monk, DK, DH, Warrior all as tanks even without dungeons are fun because you just gather mobs and obliterate.
Resto Shaman seems to do reasonable DPS as you also gather mobs and Chain Lightning while healing.
Yea I tried doing a warrior tank and it is pain. Just no rage ever.
Which flavour of rogue? cause I canāt really get into it. I just remade āProblemā as manāari paladin cause it just wasnt working out as rogue for me.
Monk tanks are fun in dungeons, spin spin spin. I am a beyblade!
Oddly enough my Rogue. Iām too poor for heirlooms so I can do questing only. Around 30 or 40 the power creep was on the opposite side of the spectrum and a lot of things were deadly.
I was also questing in the Eastern Plaguelands and the nostalgia was max level. Catacylsm was a fresh change for me and I couldnāt appreciate it more.
Heirlooms lost their shiny anyway, they just give rested exp. So what does that mean? make new toon; wait a month to get max rested exp. play for 2hours⦠then bench again to get more rested exp?
The only benefit they have now is that they level with you.
Sadly thatās a pretty big benefit. A broken benefit even. If you can manage to keep your ilvl within the 20% difference range of the current levelās greens then youāll smoke through the content.
I really do enjoy taking my time and experiencing it. My Druid is a whole different story. Might as well be playing end-game with how fast they clear stuff.
I really liked leveling my paladin as holy and just running dungeons , same for disc priest. leveling as a warrior through questing was also fun , just running into the fray yielding a sword , same for ret and prot paladin
Yeah but going 42-0 in WSG for using 3 keybinds just feels like a cheat code lmao. Itās stupid how powerful the range is with mastery stacks. Sniper shot + aimed shot 80 yards away 1 second after they rez from the gy. It is every definition of the word toxic. Still fun though
Doesnāt it feel weird in RPGās picking out your talents and whatnot/allocating stats only to find out youāve personally created your character to only 60% of their maximum power level?
Thatās one of those āOhā moments Iāve had one too many times for comfort. Stuff like Bravely Default 2 on hard-mode where specific classes are mandatory to beat the bosses. I get that hard mode is for āpost-normal modeā but I kinda rather have a manageable challenge than breeze through a game.
So thank you Metroid Dread for being the right amount of hard in hard mode.
Iām mostly aiming for questing, healing in dungeons is still a scary thing to me, though tanking Iāve sort of done.
Overpowered, yes. Toxic, no. Toxic is people behaviour if you ask me. Like if you constantly do it to one player over and over and bag his corpse and use filtered profanities ect.
This was fun in Maplestory. You had stat points, strength, dex, ect you had to manually add. So of course a warrior didnt need int, but as newbie⦠yea⦠XD
I still pick passive talents over active ones if my bars are already too fullā¦
I was one of the folks who fought against talent trees back in SL. I enjoy them now for the leveling process but theyāre pretty annoying as far as end-game is concerned.
Iām not so sure a game like WoW should allow for so much player choice outside of cosmetic choices. Folks sitting in raids without raid specific talents or popping into M+ without critical support talents, theyāre all enabled through talent tree choices. Iād rather we all just have the illusion of player choice stripped away and given the tools we need.
