Like seriously? When I see these stats on any gear drop i just insta dumpster it unless it has really good corruption on it.
Warriors!!
The Price of Life - Dozer
no we dont.
Really not that bad of a stat for feral crit is pve stat I aim for vers mastery gear the last 2 seasons and end up with a ton of crit gear and pushed 2.3 with it last Ssn and duelist this season np
You play feral??! DansGame !! Just kidding. You guys are really annoying to deal with in 2s. Frickin cyclone cyclone cyclone
I mean after vers, both those stats are good for me.
Rets technically could but its not bis
I don’t know however its all I ever get out of chests. Two belts this week on my warrior with crit/mast with no corruptions. Than on my Hpal I get a tanking shield and a caster belt. So frustrating.
Warlocks use mastery.
Decent for ret but other stuff is better to stack, you get a ton of mastery anyway during wings cause of azerite traits. You get a higher % of mastery per point than anything else and it’s pretty much just a flat holy damage increase.
I’ve thought about for ele, some bootleg bonus maelstrom generation and crit for lasso/earth shock
but versa is king for every spec and I’m not sure why they don’t just default versa on everything pvp related and if you wanna stack other stuff go PvE
Because they would have to nerf or rework WW mastery for one thing.
Frost dk want mast > vers > crit > haste for pvp so not terrible for them
Care to elaborate?
WW isn’t the only mastery that is a raw damage increase
Ww mastery versatility relationship is multiplicative. The hit from a ww first calculates the hit for wpn dmg modified for ap, then factors mastery, and after that factors the vers.
It’s one of the reasons why WW was one of the strongest dps in Antorus, because by that that point end of xpac stat levels were crazy. (The main reason was because of set bonus synergy with lego helm)
This isn’t unqiue to WW?
Unless I’m missing something this is how most bonuses in WoW work and were it been additive it’d be a way bigger issue
Like having 30% versa with conflict and strife and also having spirit wolf (20% damage redux in ghost wolf) looks like huge mitigation but rogues will still cut thru me like butter
This is an example of addition, not multiplication.
It is because you have to calculate hits 2 different ways for WW. One were they follow mastery and the other were it breaks and mastery is skipped all together.
For everyone else that vers increases things its based off the calculated number off just wpn dmg modified by ap and mastery is the same number then added for example:
Melee hit is 100 dmg base after wpn+ap modifier for the example.
For everyone mastery and versatility as a booster is calculated off that number at the same time, then added on top of the number
So 20% of 100 is 20 so, it would add 40 dmg on to the hit.
For monk it goes through stages, so if you follow your mastery using that same stat weights it would look like
100+ 20%= 120dmg, 120+20% from the vers= 144 dmg
Meaning the value for the 2 stats are technically heavier, so if can guarantee my best stat on pvp gear then you probably would fall into BiS gear for all situations of WW would be pvp gear and we shouldn’t want that.
It’s not, you don’t get a 50% damage redux in stuns with C & S versa + Spirit wolf
For WW Mastery/Versa interaction ima have to look it up when i get a chance, just seems unlike blizzard to scale anything linearly like that
Hpals would use crit I assume.
