What Casuals (99.9%) Want

Naw, IME casuals are the ones that spazz out cause they don’t have much time to play so they ragequit when mistakes are made, gatekeep (if listing group only take overgeared / overscored players) to ensure they get a carry, and lash out if you ever call them out on these things lol…

I did read the comments and you are wrong… You were agreeing with him for awhile while saying he doesnt understand.

I just want a balanced game with few bugs, fun and balanced casual bg’s without premades, a path to gearing that respects my time(NOT waiting 2 months or more to get tier just to be on par, the tier that the classes are balanced around), and the ability to play alts without no-lifeing it.

As a “casual,” I don’t care about ratings, achievement flexing, timesinks, or diverse “systems.” Just give me a good game that is fun to play. Wow, in it’s older forms, could scratch that itch just fine. These days, I’m not really sure who they’re trying to please… The no-lifers, the devs, the twitch viewers, or stockholders. But it seems like their efforts are hardly pleasing anyone.

You sound so bitter and culturally affected.

the problem is, there are multiple different definitions of what a Casual is.

The problem is, there are many different people that play the game and all enjoy something different so you cant really please everyone. 99.9% of players are not casual players in a single goal oriented game. they are spread out over many different interests.

I’d love more mage tower-ish stuff.

All cosmetic no power, gear scaled down to an easy access ilvl.

Make a set of armour/weapons for each class that you unlock as you climb the dungeons “levels”.

The armour/weapons get more fancy/elaborate the higher you climb.

I could waste so much time in an endless solo dungeon filled with cosmetics.

Disagree with most of what you said. Not saying it’s not true but this is my experience with “casuals”
I was and have been a raid leader. Here are the exact words casuals told me…We want to raid. We think we could get better if given a chance. (again i was a raid leader) You guys tell us to gear up and you would take us on raid but how can we gear up when no one will take us. We can’t get the items to craft stuff.

So I went to my GM at the time. Talked to them…and even if it was a current raider with a lower level toon they were welcome to come but since it was an alt and we all knew what was an alt and what wasnt. The gear went to those who wasn’t an alt.

I put together heroic runs for people. I left mythic for others I hate mythics myself,

Bottom line is don’t lump all casuals into your fairy tale because a lot of them want to do what the rest of us are doing, All they need is a polite and fair guild leader, a polite and fair raid leader and both need patience,

Your epeen means nothing in the real world

Not trying to be mean or a jerk Icaa…what would you like to see them do to gear your toon without waiting 2 months? Honest question and I promise no trolling I am looking forward to hearing your solution

I know its Evil Dead style of no no to mention FF14 on a WoW forum but they have the deep dive instances where are pretty cool. They are kinda like the mythics with times and affixes, as you progress you get items to help.

I’ve done them a couple of times but while I dislike them they are very very popular

As a casual, no to pretty much everything. I enjoy raiding and mythic +. I’m not great at pvp tho it can be fun on occasion, but nothing forces you into something just for gear.

Casual doesnt mean unskilled or unable to complete group content. On the flip side id be somewhat annoyed if world content was unreasonably hard as its something I like to run alts and farming toons through. More gear is not going to help someone who doesnt put time in to learn their class or a strat for a fight. You dont have to worry about class or what the fotm spec is. Unless your aiming for high end min/max content that stuff literally means a big fat zero. Just play what you like. Its really not that deep.

You don’t speak for me, OP.

I’m so casual that I only completed a +3 M+ and thought “yeah, I’m good with that” and continued to go about my day.

As a casual… I don’t even know what this means.

I like this one but for PvP.

I am a “casual” who spends almost all their time in the open world. We are not the majority. And the way some people carry on as though we are ignored is just silly. There is heaps to do in the open world. Hundreds of hours of content. If you expect that content to be evergreen then you are absurd. A game can’t have an endless supply of content. Especially if you are choosing to ignore massive portions of the game.

the issue here, is people tend to define “content” as “only the stuff I want to do”.

I haven’t run out of open world stuff to do yet.
(in fact, I’ve just gone back to SL to see all the stuff I missed while I was away… ZM is so pretty!)

Where is OP getting those statistics from?

86% of statistics are made up on the spot.
